4.2.1.6 The Marine Contractor requesting the pre-qualification should complete the Pre-
Qualification questionnaire valid at the time of submitting request. Site Visits, if
needed, will be coordinated by the Marine Pre-Qualification Committee/Contracting
Dept.

4.2.1.7 If the Marine Contractor meets the requirements of the Pre-Qualification criteria, the
contractor will be recommended to be included for approval in the respective Marine
Bid Slate.

4.3 Marine Contractor Pre-Qualification Safety Evaluation


4.3.1 Responsibilities

4.3.1.1 Marine Department to organize and lead the Contractor Safety Prequalification
Evaluation Team (CSPET) and invite representatives from Marine Divisions
and LPD (as required) who are experienced in assessing management systems
and processes to participate in this evaluation.

4.3.1.2 CSPET:

a. Perform contractors’ safety prequalification evaluations to identify


weakness areas and assist contractors to establish/improve their safety
management system that shall meet Saudi Aramco required safety
standards.
b. Perform contractors’ safety prequalification evaluations to identify
weakness areas and assist contractors to establish/ improve their safety
management system that meets Saudi Aramco required safety standards.
c. Evaluate contractors Safety Management System using predefined criteria
(SMG 07-004-2010 Contractor Pre-Qualification Safety Evaluation
attachment A4 and A5).
d. Request additional information from contractors as needed for clarification
or verification of submittals.
e. Provide feedback to rejected contractors indicating areas for improvements
f. Every 5 years re-evaluate contractors who have been previously prequalified
in safety.
g. Request re-evaluation of any contractor company with unsatisfactory safety
performance that had previously passed the prequalification safety
evaluation.
h. Report to the Pre-Qualification Chairman on progress.
i. Conduct clarification meetings with contractors.
j. Annually, assess implementation of the contractor prequalification safety
evaluation procedures for continuous improvement.
