He was selected for the TeaMWork Virtual Internship, joining a team of students from Monash’s Australia and
Malaysia campuses and the University of Warwick to work on marketing strategies for the Melbourne-based Jobs
in Pharmacy platform.
James is also the founder of Coffee, Tea or Me?, a mental health campaign aimed at promoting youth
self-expression and alleviating pandemic-induced mental health instability. The project was in partnership
with Temasek Foundation International and Heartware Network Singapore, with 83.3% of participants stating
that the campaign was helpful to them.

Extra requirements
• Applicants to submit a declaration on personal conduct and professional competencies
• Applicants to pass an aptitude test and/or an interview and/or university entrance examination
• Malaysian students must obtain at least a C grade in Bahasa Melayu (Malay language) and English in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), or equivalent before enrolling into the course.

Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY)
In addition to Monash University’s entry requirements, all students applying for the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) must fulfill the Pharmacy Board of Malaysia’s requirements:
The subjects enrolled in MUFY must include Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics/Physics and a minimum score of 80% achieved for each of the subjects, respectively.

Requirements
Successful completion of an Australian bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in pharmacy, pharmaceutical science, medicinal chemistry, formulation science, biomedical science, or other related
field with an average overall distinction grade (70%) or higher in the final year of the course, or equivalent qualifications and experience approved by the faculty’s Graduate Research Committee.
• A bachelor’s degree requiring at least four years of full-time study in a relevant field, and which normally includes a research component in the fourth year,
leading to an honours 1 or 2A in a relevant field;
• A course leading to a level rated by the relevant department, faculty and committee as equivalent to an honours 1 or 2A in a relevant field; or
• A master’s degree that entails work, normally including a significant research component, including at least 25% of one full-time equivalent year of work, including a thesis.
It is normally expected that a grade of honours 2A has been obtained for the research thesis or project. Where ungraded, examiner’s reports will be taken into account; or
• Have qualifications which in the opinion of the Graduate Research Committee and Monash Graduate Research Office are deemed equivalent.
• Meet the English language requirements of the University.
