SUBMISSION OF SCHOOL RECOGNIZED STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS


AND CLUBS FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024

1. Per Unnumbered DepEd Memorandum dated May 5, 2023 titled "Interim


Guidelines of the Learner Government Program (LGP) for School Year 2023-2024,"
this Office calls for the Submission of School Recognized Student Organizations and
Clubs for the School Year 2023-2024.

2. All school student organizations and clubs must submit the following
documents to the Office of the Supreme Elementaiy/Secondaiy Uamer Government
for endorsement to the School Head:
a. Application for Recognition (Enclosure 1)
b. List of Officers
c. A copy of Designation Order of Adviser duly signed by the School Head
d. Annual Plan of Action (Enclosure 3)
e. Constitution and By-Laws and/or DepEd Order/Memoranda
3. A Certificate of Recognition signed by the School Head shall be issued, valid
for one year. Only school recognized student organizations and clubs shall have the
permit to conduct youth-related activities in the school. They shaU be monitored and
evaluated regularly by the SELG/SSLG including their participation and attendance
to the School Coordinating Council.
4. The List of School Recognized Student Organization and Clubs (Enclosure 4)
must be submitted in PDF File to the Youth Formation Unit - School Governance
and Operations Division through https://bit.ly/MNLOrgandClubRecog23 no later
than September 29, 2023.

5. Immediate and wide dissemination for this Memorandum is desired.

In accordance with Department Order pO) no. 47 s, 2014 titled "Constitution and
By-Laws of the Supreme PupU Government and Supreme Student Government in
Elementary and Secondary School^, the Department of Eklucation (DepBd)
recognizes that the Student Government Program (SOP), through the Supreme Pupil
■' Government (SPG) and Supreme Student Government (SSG), is the foremost co-
curricular leamer-led organization authorized to operate and implement pertinent
programs, projects, and activities in all schools natioDwlde.

To recognize the significant roles and contributions of leamer-led clubs and


organizations in schools, the Office of the Undersecretary for Operations (OUOPS),

Composition and Term of Office of the 8MX1/SSLO

Section 1 The Officers of the SELG/SSLG are the duly elected President, Vice
President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Public Information Officer,
Protocol Officer, and Grade Level Representatives.

Section 2 Any SELG/SSLG Officer, except the Grade Level Representatives, shall
not be holding any other elective or appointive positions in other
student ciubs/organizations.

Section 3 The officijrs of the SELG/SSLG shall hold office for a period of one (1)
school year.

Section 4 The term of office shall start from the date the officer takes his/her
oath, until the successor takes his/her oath of office or until the end of
the incumbent SELG/SSLG's residency in the school as may be
applicable.

Section 5 Oath Teldng Ceremonies of elected SELG/SSLG Officers must be


conducted on the next regular Monday after the SELG/SSIXj Elections.
