 Assessments
• Three assessments total for GGH3707:
– 2 x assignments and 1 x final exam.
– Assignment 01: 40% weight Taken together, these
numbers will be used to
– Assignment 02: 60 % weight calculate your year mark.

• Final Mark:
– Year mark (weight 45%) + Exam mark (weight: 55%)
E.g.: Assignment 01 Mark: 45 (x 40%) + Assignment 02 Mark: 65 (x 60%) = 57 Year mark
Thus, Year mark 57 (x 45%) + Exam mark 44 (x 55%) = 50% Final Mark
NB: Subminimum of 40% in the exam is required.
 Assessments
• To gain admission to the examination, you will be required to submit at least
one assignment prior to the cut-off date for admission to the examination.
• However, it is strongly recommended that you complete and submit both
assignments on or before their due dates.

E.g.: Assignment 01 Mark: 0 (x 40%) + Assignment 02 Mark: 65 (x 60%) = 39 Year mark

Thus, Year mark 39 (x 45%) + Exam mark 44 (x 55%) = 42% Final Mark

• Thus, please plan your time carefully as NO extensions are granted without
valid excuse/evidence.
• Request an extension with evidence via email.
• Extension requests must be made BEFORE the assessment closes.
 General assignment details:
• Assignments will be entirely online.
– To be completed on myUnisa, on assessment shell.
– Assessment will only be available during the period indicated on
the shell.
– Therefore, there will be an opening and closing date.
– Submit before the time and date indicated at closing to avoid
technical issues.
• Quiz format:
– This includes both written- & MCQ-type assessments.
– Proctoring will be utilized (Assignment 02).
• We do not recommend the use of mobile phones when completing
assessments.
