1 Theme: Remembering the past!

2 Final task: (for END of unit)

For the end of the unit, students in pairs have to record themselves pretending to be an employer of a well-known company (e.g. Coca Cola, YPF, Sanatorio El
Carmen, etc., or they can invent one) who wants to hire an employee. They have to perform a situation in which the employer presents the most important
characteristics of the company and asks the employee personal questions and questions about his/her previous experience. The T will show Ss an example of a
video made by herself. Ss will have to produce the video in their homes, using a mobile phone or a computer. Creativity will be important since videos will be
shown to the class and students will vote for the best one. While students present their videos, the rest of the class will have a grid to fill in about the name of the
company, date of foundation, main goal, age of the employee, and one of his/her previous experience.

In order to carry out the final task the teacher will take into account the following steps:

1. The teacher will present an example of an interview between an employer and an employee.

2. Ss have to think of 3 to 4 sentences to describe the company and 5 sentences about their previous work experience.

3. Present a draft to the teacher so that she can make the necessary corrections.

4. The video should be sent to the teacher two days before the exposition.

5. After finishing the presentation of the videos, each student should choose one of their classmates’ video.

6. Finally, the winner pair will be prized by the teacher.

After the groups have completed the grids, the teacher will ask the class to decide which group has presented the best work. After the winners are chosen,
they will receive a prize. The rest of the students will also receive one for their efforts and participation.

3 Objectives: During the unit students will develop ability and knowledge necessary to:

❖ To recognize and use vocabulary related to means of transport.

o Students may have some problems in remembering some past forms of irregular verbs

o Students may have some problems in understanding the formulation of the negative and the question form of the past simple (The teacher
should be very clear when explaining this and make students practice with several examples).

o School may lack resources to work in the class

o Students may have some problems when pronouncing words related to vocabulary and grammar (The teacher should make students listen to and
repeat the vocabulary and grammar structures during lessons as much as possible)
