EGEO 424: POLITICAL GEOGRAPHY

Course Purpose

To help student to understand the politics of state and theories of state evolution, growth
and decline.

Objectives

At the end of this course, learner should be able to:

State theories of state evolution and growth.

Outline the role of interdependence world harmony among states.

Expected Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, learner should be able to:

 Appreciate the politics of both developed and developing countries and its significance on

EGEO 211: PRACTICAL GEOGRAPHY

Course Purpose

The course introduces learners to the science of surveying, cartography and


interpretation techniques related to maps and photographs.

Objectives

The objectives of this course are:

 Enable the learner to construct own maps using principles of map-making.

 State the elements of photogrammetry and surveying.

Expected learning outcomes of the course:

At the end of the course the student should be able to:

 Apply the basic techniques of map reading and analysis

 Read, analyze and interpret information in aerial photographs

 Discuss basic surveying techniques
