I would first of all like to express my sincere thanks to you for my application perusal. I am writing to
express my sincere intent to enroll in the Post-Secondary Diploma in Water Engineering Technology at
Okanagan College. My name is Manmeet Singh, I am eager to apply for the Water Engineering
Technology Diploma at Okanagan College, Canada, as I am passionate about making a significant
contribution to the field of water engineering. This program aligns with my academic interests and
career aspirations, and I am confident that it will provide me with the knowledge, skills, and experience
necessary to succeed in this critical and evolving field. Giving brief family details, my father’s name is
Davinder Singh and my mother’s name is Gurpreet Kaur. I hail from Khanna (Ludhiana), in the state of
Punjab. My passport number is W6457531.

Academic background:

Regarding my academic background, I have completed my secondary education from Central Board of
Secondary Education in 2020 and senior secondary school education from Punjab School Education
Board in 2023 respectively. My interest in water engineering began during my high school years when I
participated in a community project focused on improving local water supply systems. This experience
opened my eyes to the complexities of water management and the essential role it plays in public
health, environmental sustainability, and economic development. Inspired by this project, I pursued a
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, where I focused extensively on courses related to
hydrology, water quality, and environmental protection. Throughout my academic and professional
journey, I have consistently sought opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills in project
management. The dynamic nature of the field, its emphasis on effective leadership, and the ability to
drive positive change align perfectly with my career aspirations. Hence, I have decided to pursue Post-
Secondary diploma in Water Engineering Technology. Having decided to study abroad, I sat For IELTS
test and secured overall 6.5 bands.
Financial ties:

I will be able to fund my education through the financial assistance provided by my family. My family has
always been very supportive of my academic and professional goals, so they will help me cover the costs
of my tuition fees. My parents are capable of supporting my education abroad. My family’s total annual
income is 11,62,910 INR. Apart from this my family’s net worth is 12,41,887 INR which includes
immovable and movable assets. The net worth is calculated by Rajesh Dharam Pal and Associates (CA).
