MTH524:REAL ANALYSIS

L:4 T:0 P:0 Credits:4

Course Outcomes: Through this course students should be able to

CO1 :: recall elements of point set topology with the help of definitions, examples and related
theorems.

CO2 :: demonstrate the existence of the Riemann-Stieltjes integral, various properties of the
integral, and the related examples.

CO3 :: explain the proof of the fundamental theorem of calculus, mean value theorems and some
other related theorems.
CO4 :: show the effect of uniform convergence on the limit function with respect to continuity,
differentiability, and integrability.

CO5 :: examine the uniform convergence of the power series with the help of various theorems
and examples.
CO6 :: determine the derivatives of functions of several variables and produce the rigorous proofs
for important theorems.
