COE council

PURPOSE
The purpose of these scholarship programs is to train missionary-minded young people who are
called to the teaching ministry and willingly serve the church and actively be engaged in sharing the gospel
commission and hasten the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

ELIGIBILIBILITY
1. Must be an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for a period of not less than
one year during the application.
2. Submit the complete Application Form not less than one month before the start of the Academic
Year.
3. Eligibility may be revoked at any time on the basis of unchristian conduct. The scholar will be given
an opportunity to appear before the Scholarship Committee before the final determination is made.

GRADES/DEMEANORS
1. Applicant should not have a grade of F in any subject (if current student)
2. Applicant should have a minimum GPA of 3.oo during application (if current student); or a
general average of not less than 85% for incoming freshman.
3. Applicant should not have INC (if current student) in any subject during the time of application.
4. Applicant should not have been involved in any major infractions of moral turpitude throughout
the stay in the College/University.
5. Applicant should not show any Public Display of Affection. (PDA) when has a romantic relationship
at the time of application and while enjoying the scholarship program.

AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE
 SSD Scholarship Program: minimum of US$700/ semester. Intersemester is not included.
 CORA Scholarship Program: full tuition, general fees, dormitory and cafeteria fees [only for 4th Year
/ Graduating Students]
 BARKADA Scholarship Program: allowances minimum of Php6,000.00 for miscellaneous/ internship
needs.

EXPECTATIONS FROM A SCHOLAR


1. Continue to uphold Bible and SDA principles.
2. Continue to be a positive influence in words, deeds, and thoughts.
3. Actively participate and accept any COE leadership position when elected
4. Appreciate the scholarship by studying and doing one’s best to learn and be a more equipped
education.
5. Assist the College for minimum of eight (8) hours per month. Use Labor Report Form to
be provided by the College / Scholarship Committee.
6. Show responsibility in using the social media platforms ensuring that Christian values are
always upheld.
7. Pay the amount that has been credited to school accounts should the scholarship be revoked.
