“BATANG SEPU EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM”

(EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE FOR ALL THE JUNIOR HIGHSCHOOL, SENIOR
HIGHSCOOL, AND COLLEGE STUDENTS IN THE BARANGAY SAN NICOLAS)

I. Rationale
Republic Act 10742 or the “Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015”
indicates in Section 8, par. (F) of its Implementing Rules and Regulations, the Center
of Participation on which the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) must anchored their
programs and projects. One of these Center of Development is EQUITABLE
ACCESS IN QUALITY EDUCATION, to support the youth in learning.

The Philippine Youth Development Plan 2017-2022, a national vision of the

Philippine Government under the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte Administration
elaborates and expand the 9 Center of Participation that addressed the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals, “Educational Center of Participation.”

II. Objectives
The objective of this project is to help students especially the economically
disadvantaged sector to have financial assistance to support their education. It helps
them to have some support to buy educational materials and other fees.

III. Beneficiaries
1. The student must be resident of Barangay San Nicolas, Santa Ana.
2. The student must have Certificate of Indigency from the Barangay Chairman.
3. The student must be currently enrolled in school, colleges, or university (including
freshmen)

IV. Budgetary Requirements

The Sangguniang Kabataan Annual Barangay Youth Investment Plan budgeted
the following related to education:
Financial Assistance from the SK Funds - 260,000.00
Financial Assistance from the SK Funds- 250,000.00

Total 510,000.00

Estimated number of beneficiaries 500 students

Total budget allocated 510,000.00
