Tenses

Tense คื อ รู ป ของคำกริ ย าที ่ บ อกเวลาของการกระทำ ซึ ่ ง การกระทำที ่ เ กิ ด ในเวลาที ่ ต = า งกั น

ภาษาอังกฤษจะใชDรูปของคำกริยาที่แตกต=างกันไป เช=น
I play football every day.
I am playing football now.
I played football yesterday.
I will play football tomorrow.
(ฉันเล=นฟุตบอลทุกวัน)
(ฉันกำลังเล=นฟุตบอล)
(ฉันเล=นฟุตบอลเมื่อวาน)
(ฉันจะเล=นฟุตบอลวันพรุ=งนี้)

Tense แบ=งออกเปdน 3 ช=วงเวลา คือ

- Present Tense ปhจจุบัน
- Past Tense อดีต
- Future Tense อนาคต

Present Tenses
Present Simple
Affirmative: S + V1(s/es)
Negative: S + do/does + not + Vinf
Interrogative: Do/Does + S + Vinf?
การใชD 1. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทเี่ กิดในปhจจุบันทีท่ ำเปdนประจำหรือเปdนกิจวัตร
เช=น Ronald runs in the park every day.
2. ใชDกับเหตุการณwที่เปdนจริงตามธรรมชาติหรือเปdนจริงทางวิทยาศาสตรw
เช=น The earth moves around the sun.
3. ใชDกับตารางเวลาหรือแผนการที่วางไวD
เช=น The train always leaves at 10 a.m.
Time Expression: always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, rarely, never, every………..
Present Continuous
Affirmative: S + is/am/are + Ving
Negative: S + is/am/are + not + Ving
Interrogative: Is/Am/Are + S + Ving?
การใชD 1. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทกี่ ำลังดำเนินอยู=ในขณะที่พูด
เช=น Ronald is running in the park at the moment.
2. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทเี่ กิดในช=วงเวลาหนึ่ง โดยอาจไม=จำเปdนตDองทำในขณะพูด
เช=น I am studying English this semester.
3. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทวี่ างแผนหรือตั้งใจทำในอนาคต
เช=น We are moving to Canada next month.
Time Expression: now, right now, at the moment, at present, tomorrow, soon, next …….
Present Perfect
Affirmative: S + has/have + V3
Negative: S + has/have + not + V3
Interrogative: Has/Have + S + V3?
การใชD 1. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทเี่ กิดในอดีตและยังดำเนินมาถึงปhจจุบัน
เช=น William has been a teacher for 10 years.
2. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทเี่ พิ่งจะเสร็จสิ้นลงไป และผลของเหตุการณwยังคงอยู=
เช=น The housekeeper has just cleaned the room.

3. ใชDกับประสบการณwหรือเหตุการณwที่เกิดขึ้นซ้ำหลายครั้ง
เช=น We have watched that movie for several times.
Time Expression: since, for, already, just, yet, recently, so far, never, ever
Present Perfect Continuous
Affirmative: S + has/have + been + Ving
Negative: S + has/have + not + been + Ving
Interrogative: Has/Have + S + been+ Ving?
การใชD ใชDกับเหตุการณwทเี่ กิดในอดีตและดำเนินต=อเนื่องถึงปhจจุบัน และมีแนวโนDมทีจ่ ะทำใน
อนาคต
เช=น Gina has been talking on the phone all morning.

Past Tenses
Past Simple
Affirmative: S + V2
Negative: S + did + not + Vinf
Interrogative: Did + S + Vinf?
การใชD ใชDกับเหตุการณwทเี่ กิดขึ้นและจบแลDวในอดีต
เช=น Margie went to Japan last summer.
Time Expression: this morning, yesterday, the day before yesterday, last, ago, in 2020
Past Continuous
Affirmative: S + was/were + Ving
Negative: S + was/were + not + Ving
Interrogative: Was/Were + S + Ving?
การใชD 1. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทเี่ กิด ณ จุดใดจุดหนึ่งของเวลาในอดีต มักมีคำบอกเวลาที่ชดั เจน
เช=น My father was washing his car at 8 o’clock this morning.
2. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทกี่ ำลังดำเนินอยู=ในอดีตและมีอีกเหตุการณwหนึ่งเกิดแทรก
เหตุการณwที่เกิดอย=างต=อเนื่องใชD Past Continuous
เหตุการณwที่เกิดขึ้นแทรกใชD Past Simple
เช=น I was doing my homework when my brother came.
3. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทเี่ กิดขึ้นพรDอมกันในอดีต
เช=น While my sister was singing, I was dancing.

Past Perfect
Affirmative: S + had + V3
Negative: S + had + not + V3
Interrogative: Had + S + V3?
การใชD ใชDกับเหตุการณwที่เกิดขึ้นและจบลง ก=อนที่จะมีอีกเหตุการณwเกิดตามหลัง
เช=น The plan had already left by the time I got to the airport.
** ขDอสังเกต เหตุการณwที่เกิดขึ้นก=อนมักมีคำว=า after
เหตุการณwที่เกิดขึ้นภายหลังมักมีคำว=า when, before, by the time
Past Perfect Continuous
Affirmative: S + had + been + Ving
Negative S + had + not + been + Ving
Interrogative Had + S + been + Ving
การใชD ใชDเหมือนกับ Past Perfect แต=เนDนช=วงเวลาที่เกิดขึ้นอย=างต=อเนื่อง
เช=น Lily had been cleaning the room for 2 hours when I came home.

Future Tenses
Future Simple
Affirmative: S + will + Vinf
Negative: S + will + not + Vinf
Interrogative: Will + S + Vinf?
การใชD 1. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทจี่ ะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต
เช=น Ronald will run in the park tomorrow.
2. ใชDกับเหตุการณwทตี่ ัดสินใจทำในขณะทีพ่ ูด
เช=น I am hungry. I think I will have some noodles.
Time Expression: tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, soon, next ……, this evening, in
five minutes
** Note! เหตุการณwที่ไดDมีการวางแผนหรือตั้งใจทำ สามารถใชDโครงสรDาง “Be going to”
(S + is/am/are + Ving) เช=น I am going to buy a car next year.
Future Continuous
Affirmative: S + will + be + Ving
Negative: S + will + not + be + Ving

Future Perfect Continuous
Affirmative: S + will + have + been + Ving
Negative: S + will + have + not + been + Ving

การใชD ใชDเหมือนกับ Future Perfect แต=เนDนช=วงเวลาที่เกิดขึ้นอย=างต=อเนื่อง
เช=น When he gets his master’s degree, he will have been going to
school for 20 years.
