The line graph illustrates the percentage of public

transport users in three cities, namely London, New

York, and Tokyo, over a thirty-year period from 1990
to 2020.
Overall, it is clear that there were significant changes in the usage of
public transport in all three cities during the given period. While the
percentages in London and Tokyo showed an upward trend, New York
experienced fluctuations but ended with a slight increase.

In 1990, the percentage of public transport users was highest in Tokyo at

55%, followed by New York at 45%, and London at 30%. Over the next
decade, Tokyo saw a steady rise in usage, reaching approximately 60%
by the year 2000. London also experienced a gradual increase, with the
percentage climbing to around 35%. Meanwhile, New York's figures
fluctuated, dropping to about 40% in 2000.

From 2000 to 2010, Tokyo continued its upward trajectory, peaking at

65%. London's growth accelerated during this period, bringing the
percentage of users up to 50% by 2010. On the other hand, New York's
percentage rebounded to 45% in 2010 after a dip in the previous decade.

In the final decade from 2010 to 2020, the percentage of public transport
users in Tokyo remained relatively stable, ending at around 65%. London
saw the most dramatic increase, with the percentage reaching 60% by
2020. New York's figures, despite some fluctuations, ultimately increased
slightly, finishing at just above 50%.

In conclusion, the graph demonstrates that London and Tokyo

experienced overall increases in the use of public transport, while New
York, despite its fluctuations, also saw a modest rise over the thirty-year
period.
