Thanks for the opportunity to giving to me, Allow me to introduce my self, My name ALIEF MAULANA HIZBY
You can call me Alief, I’m 23 years old, I was born on Banyuwangi 04 June 1999, I was grduated from Hang Tuah
University and then I hold COC Class 3 Deck Officer, My last experienced as a Cadet on Supply Vessel almost 1 Year
and then I re-join to the Simmiliar Company but not a same Vessel but other vessel, I was having experience Just 6
Month as a 2nd Officer.

My Strength : I can work in under pressure, loyal, professional, Integrity, humble,explore about knowledge
My Weakness : like sometimes forgetful but I can handle my weakness for always writing in my pocket note about
job or order.

Why did you choose to be a seaman :


- First time I think that seafarer can get high salary but have consider risk . But I think again high risk high
return. I try to be seafarer from collage in Poltekpel Surabaya. In my city, many people work as seafarer like
my friend, my neighbor
- And I interest to sailing for visit other city . I like a new journey.
- Good Long Term Prospect

Desk Job 4th Officer :
Main Responsibility : Duty Watch as Navigational Officer 04.00 – 08.00 and evening watch with chief officer
Additional Responsibility :
- Assistt to CO for doing his job report like cargo document loading or discharging, rest hour, deck inventory
- Work together with 3rd officer to inspecting and maintaining all ship safety equipment
- Help CO in ship operation during loading and unloading on port
- Proactive learning to 3rd Officer Senior in handling LSA and FFA equipment
- Preparing OHN and equipment on the bridge and deck for ship departure

Desk Job 3rd Officer :


Main Responsibility : Duty Watch as Navigational Officer forenoon watch and night watch when ship at sea or
anchored
Additional :
- ,inspecting,maintaining all ship safety equipment ( LSA & FFA )
- Assist captain for prepare port clearance, ship document, crew document,crew list
- fully responsible on the condition of rescue equipment and fire fighter equipment to be in good condition
and ready to operate any time
Responsible watch
During vessel anchorage :
- plot position every 1 hours
- check anchor position still up and down or not
- doing check with visibility about condition around ship
- observe about weather,tide and stream
- make sure, anchor still bites or dragging. If anchor dragging please report to captain
- at night condition : turn on radar, AB duty security patrol every 1 hours, turn on navigation lamp.

During sailing at sea :


- Look around with visibility
- Plot Position every 1 hours
- Ensure AB duty to keep on course
- Contact another ship if any crossing, passing or overtaking situation
- Write in logbook such as position,speed,weather and distance to run , eta, speed
- If any doubt you can calling master
During Cargo Loading :
- Monitor cargo passing on board and calculate cargo every 1 hours
- Stby Radio to AB duty and Port Operator for monitor cargo loading
- Always check clinometer for keep stay stability position
- Check for unballasting
- Check pump such as temperature and rate per hour
During Cargo Unloading :
- Monitor cargo discharging on board and calculate cargo every 1 hours
- Stby Radio to AB duty and Port Operator for monitor cargo discharging
- Always check clinometer for keep stay stability position
- Check for ballasting
- Check pump such as temperature and rate per hour
Hand Over :
A sea :
- Master standing order
- Position,course,speed and draft
- Condition tide and weather
At loading or discharge :

Drill :
FIRE DRILL : THAT FIRE WAS OCCURRED IN PAINT STORE
1. AB on duty reported to deck officer on watch
2. Immediately deck officer sounded the general emergency alarm and then call master
3. Master come on bridge and take over command
4. All crew proceed to the emergency muster station
5. Command team received muster report from emergency team,back up team and engine room team
6. Emergency team take action immediately to prepare fire hose and collected bottles of portable dry chemical
and foam extinguisher at location
7. Close down all ventilation and air conditioning
8. Starting emergency pump and two member emergency team stby for open the sprinkler valve
9. At bridge, 3 off stby to broadcast distress message to all ship vicinity, to ship,owner,local agent,chartered,
nearest port authority
10. Emergency team report to the command team that fire has extinguished.
11. Master instructed to emergency team ,back up team,engine team to check for missing and injured crew
members.
12. Emergency team, back up team,engine team check all area. And report to command team that all crew has
mustered and safe
13. Master declarated that fire drill simulation is over .

Crossing situation : when two vessels are crossing to involved risk of collision, the vessel which has the other on her
starboard for keep out of the way

ISM CODE ( International Safety Management Code ) : Is the International Safety Standard for the safe operation of
ship and for pollution prevention.

As a purpose for ensure safety at sea to avoid accident that can cause casualties and ship damage that can make
environment pollution at sea

DOC ( Document Of Compliance ) 3 TAHUN : Document is Issued from government for a company that has the
requirement of the ISM CODE
SMC ( Safety Management Sertificate ) : Document is Issued to the ship of a DOC holding company by the
administration.
ISPS CODE ( International Ship and Port Facility Security Code ) : Comprehensive rules for increase security ship and
port facilities
SSO (Ship Security Officer) : its means the person on board the ship , master or chief officer designted by company as
responsible for security of the ship
CSO (Company Security Officer) : means the person designated by the company for ensuring that a ship security
assessment is carried out ; that a ship security plan is developed, CSO is responsible for ship's security and safety.
Level 1 : Normal - the level at which the ship of port facility normally operates
- Ensuring the performance of all ship security duties
- Controlling access to the ship
- Controlling the embarkation of persons and their effects.
- Monitoring restricted areas to ensure that only authorized persons have access
- Monitoring of deck areas and areas surrounding the ship
- Supervising the handling of cargo and ship's stores ;and
- Ensuring that security communication is readily available.
Level 2 : higher level than normal - the level risk and security incident will occur higher than normal level.

Level 3 : : highest level - the level risk and security incident will be occurred for the limited period of time
(imminent).

disembarkation. Stop taking ship's store unless advise by CSO or Master. Protective measure shall be maintained
limited period. Security incident will happen probable or imminent.
