ADVAYA SHAALE

Subject: Late fee payment policy

Dated: 10th April 2024

Dear Parents,

Advaya Shaale is a Community run school, which essentially means that the parents and the school staff
have to continuously work together, smoothly for the benefit of the child.

The late payment of fees in the last 3 academic years has been a major pain point for the Management
and maintaining a balance between timely payment of salaries, ensuring needs of children are met has
been unfairly challenging.

We do understand and accept the challenges some of you as parents might go through while dealing
with the fee payments at certain times.

Nonetheless, it is also critical for the smooth functioning of the school operations and we feel the urgent
need for structure and a policy in place.

Also, please note as a school we want to ensure the child does not suffer in any way due to the parents
inability to pay the fees but at the same time its important that Parents reach out to the school and
make necessary arrangements. Please note from this year, if the fees installment due dates are not met
for more than a month, then we will not allow the child into the class until the dues are cleared or a
mutual understanding is arrived between school and the parent with regards to fee dues. Request
parents who have financial challenges to reach out to Vinayaka in advance of the due dates and not
after the due date.

Please find Advaya Shaale’s fee policy.

1. Term Fees and Lunch fees is to be paid in not more than three installments per academic year.
2. Single payment for the whole year is appreciated but does not imply any discount on the fees.
3. The 3 installment due dates are 10th May, 10th September and 10 th January.
4. Failing to pay 100% of the installment amount shall be deemed a non-compliance to the policy
and will attract penalty.
5. Irrespective of the amount of fees due, Late payment Penalty of 500 INR for every week of delay
is applied. A week here is counted as 7 calendar days. So, every 7 calendar days, that the fees is
overdue shall attract 1000/- INR penalty and will be accumulated until the fully overdue,
including the penalty is paid in full.
6. There will be no implied exception to the policy and all parents are requested to adhere to the
policy.
7. Parents who have genuine financial constraints are required to reach out to the school over
email with the supporting details justifying the constraints. Based on independent assessment
will take up the request. All requests must be raised one month in advance of the due dates of
the installment, so that sufficient time is given to assess the request. i.e. before 10th April the
request should be made to the school. Final decision rights will stay with Advaya Shaale.
8. Email requesting for exception to be sent to advayashaale.fin@gmail.com and CC to
Info@advayashaale.org

Appreciate your support in adhering to the policy and helping the functioning of the school smoothly.

Thanks,
