…..Tips.................................................................................................................................................................................

・I crochet all the stitches in the shape of X. I explain how to do it on page 5.

・Each piece is crocheted in spiral rounds unless otherwise specified.
・I don't crochet around a chain in the traditional way. I explain how to do it on page 5.
・Be sure to keep a tight tension.
・Stuff firmly as you go along, unless otherwise indicated.
・All color changes for the legs and body should be at the back of the body.
・I apply the glue with a toothpick to avoid using too much glue.
・To embroider the eyes I use Schachenmayr Catania Fine thread.
・This doll is not recommended for children under three years old.

…..X-shaped stitch……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

To make a traditional stitch (V-shaped) yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over again and pull
through the two loops on your hook.
To make a X-shaped stitch yarn UNDER (photo 1), then insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull
through the two loops on your hook (photo 2).

…..Crochet around a chain.............................................................................................................................................

When you look at a chain on the right side you can see V's (photo 3). When you look at a chain upside down
you can see « back bumps » (photo 4). It is in these « back bumps » that we will work (photo 5). We obtain a
more beautiful result (photo 6).

…..Invisible closing..........................................................................................................................................................

Once you have finished your piece and cut your thread, skip one stitch and pass the thread through the next
stitch (photos 7 and 8). Then pass your thread through the hole where it comes from (photo 9). To finish, pull
and attach your thread on the back of your piece. You have just made a closing stitch (photo 10).

7 8 9 10

…..Closing a circular piece……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………...................

Once you have finished your piece and cut your yarn, run the yarn from the outside to the inside through the
front loops of all the stitches (photo 11). Pull your thread to close the piece and tuck it in by passing it through
the center of the hole (photos 12 and 13).

…..Join a new thread.......................................................................................................................................................

Join a new thread through the stitch that is indicated to you (photos 14 and 15). Then start working on the
stitches you are asked for in the following stitch (photo 16). To finish your round, your last stitch must be
worked in the same stitch where you joined your yarn at the beginning (photo 17). Cut and weave in the ends
(photo 18).
