Prayer
God our father, in your loving providence you send your holy angels to watch over us. Hear our

prayers, defend us always by their protection and let us share your life with them for ever . We ask this

through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God ,for

ever and ever.

I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the power of God for the salvationof everyone who believes :for

Jews first, and the Greek. For in it is revealed the righteousness of God from faith to faith ;as it is written,

“The one who is righteous by faith will live”

V Their voice has gone out to the limits of the earth.

R Their words to the ends of the world.

PRAYER
Father , you chose Luke the evangelist to reveal by preaching and writing the mystery of your love

for the poor. Unite in heart spirit all who glory in your name, and let all nations come to your salvation.

Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one for

ever and ever.

Ant. The Lord will comfort Zion. Joy and gladness, thanksgiving
and songs of praise will resound within her walls.

READING.

There shall always be rejoicing and happiness in what I create; For I


create Jerusalem to be a joy and its people to be delight ; I WII REJOICE IN
Jerusalem and exult in my people . No longer shall the sound of weeping
be heard there , or sound of crying.
V Rejoice and be glad, all you saints.

R For your reward is great in heaven.
