Tide July 2024 Offer Terms and Conditions

Offer Details

1. This offer will begin on 01 July 2024 and will end on 31 July 2024 (both dates
inclusive).
2. This offer is available to select members only. We will reach out to the eligible
members on call, email, SMS, WhatsApp or through the Tide app.
3. As part of this offer, a Tide member can get: (i) one (1) iPhone 15 Pro Max (under the
Top Spender Category); and (ii) cashback as specified in the offer communication
(under the Milestone Category), upon making Tide Expense Card transactions which
meet the eligibility criteria for those categories of offers.

Terms specific to the Top Spender Category

1. To be eligible to get the reward under this category, you must: (a) cumulatively spend
at least Five Lakh Rupees (INR 5,00,000) during the offer period using your Tide
Expense Card; (b) the highest spenders during the offer period out of all participating
Tide members; and (c) make such transactions for personal use and not for business
use.
2. In case of a tie (where two or more members spend the same amount), such
members will be required to answer qualifying skill-based questions correctly within
the given time period using the link we share. The members first in time to answer
the questions correctly will be eligible to claim the reward. For example, if 10
members have spent the same amounts during the offer period, the member who
answers the qualifying skill-based questions first in time will be eligible to claim the
reward. The timestamps of responses will be used to determine the time of
answering the qualifying question. If you do not respond within the given time period,
or answer any question incorrectly, you will not be eligible to claim the reward.
3. The selected member will receive an email from us informing them about their
reward. To claim the reward, such members must follow the instructions in our email
and (a) provide any additional information required by us; and (b) pay us the
applicable amount of tax to be deducted on the reward, in light of applicable
provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. If the selected member fails to claim the
reward as per our email within seven (7) business days from the date of the email,
such member will be deemed to have forfeited their right to claim the reward and Tide
may decide to allow the next eligible member to claim the reward in its sole
discretion.
4. Once the selected member claims their reward (as per clause 3 above), the reward
will be delivered to their address registered with us, within ninety (90) days from the
date on which they claim the reward. We wish to ensure that all rewards are
delivered to the right address. Thus, we may call the selected member on their
mobile number registered with us to verify their address before dispatching the
reward. If such members would like the reward to be delivered to an alternate
address (i.e. an address not registered with us), we may conduct additional due
diligence of the details submitted to our satisfaction. In such cases, the delivery of
rewards may take longer than the aforesaid time period. You agree to not hold us,
our directors, officers, employees, or service providers, responsible for any delays in
delivery of rewards caused due to events beyond our reasonable control.
5. Graphics of the reward in any communication regarding the offer are for
representation purposes only. The actual reward may differ in colour and
appearance. In circumstances beyond our control, we may substitute the reward with
a similar alternative reward of equal value at our sole discretion. If you earn a reward,
you cannot transfer, assign, or redeem it for cash or other consideration.

Terms specific to the Milestone Category

1. Cashback offer for subscribers of paid plans is governed by the Paid Plan Terms and
Conditions and not these terms.
2. To be eligible to receive cashback under this category, you must: (a) make valid
transactions on your Tide Expense Card during the offer period and meet the
transaction milestones specified in the offer communication; and (b) make such
transactions for personal use and not for business use.
3. The eligible members will receive an email from us informing them about their
rewards. To receive rewards, you must: (a) follow the instructions in our email; and
(b) provide us any additional information required by us. If you fail to claim the reward
as per our email within five (5) business days from the date of our email, you will be
deemed to have forfeited your chance to claim the reward.
4. Members who meet the eligibility criteria and have followed the instructions in our
email can receive rewards of up to INR 7,000. Cashback will be credited in the
prepaid payment instrument (PPI) associated with the eligible members’ Tide
Expense Card. We aim to make the cashback payment within forty- five (45) working
days from the last date of the offer period.
5. If cashback cannot be credited to PPIs for any reason, we reserve the right to offer
the eligible members Amazon gift cards of amounts equal to the cashback they’re
eligible for. Gift cards will be sent to your email ID registered with us. Note that it may
take up to thirty (30) days after the completion of the offer period for your gift card to
arrive in your email. In case you receive the reward in the form of an Amazon gift
card, please note that additional terms may apply to the redemption of the Amazon
gift cards (including Amazon’s own terms). We advise you to review all information
included with your Amazon gift card. If you avail of your Amazon gift card, Amazon
will process your personal data (as a data fiduciary separate from us) in line with its
privacy policy. You understand that we do not issue Amazon gift cards. Accordingly,
we are not responsible for any issues relating to their use, redemption, limitations, or
unavailability. We give no warranty of any kind nor accept any liability in connection
with the Amazon gift cards distributed as part of the offer.

Terms applicable to both categories of this offer

1. These offer terms and conditions are to be read together with the Tide Membership
Terms and the Tide Rewards Terms and Conditions. Members who are not compliant
with those terms will be disqualified from this offer.
2. This offer, the eligibility criteria, disqualification criteria, validity criteria for
transactions, rewards and any other terms can be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled,
in part or in full, at any time, in our sole discretion, without any intimation.
3. This offer is only valid once per member and no member will be eligible to participate
in this offer twice. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Tide offer or
promotion.
4. We consider the date on which money is deducted from your PPI (linked with your
Tide Expense Card) as the date of the transaction.
5. If your Tide Expense Card is cancelled or withdrawn, or if the PPI associated with
your Tide Expense Card is terminated or suspended, any rewards earned under this
offer (which are yet to be delivered) will be deemed forfeited.
6. Only genuine transactions will count towards eligibility for this offer. A transaction will
not count towards the eligibility for this offer if: (a) you cancel or reverse the
transaction; (b) the transaction is invalidated or refunded or fails to go through; (c) the
merchant or you dispute the transaction; (d) the transaction is made to load/fund your
PPI associated with the Tide Expense Card; (e) the transaction is not made during
the offer period; (g) the transaction is a cash withdrawal from an ATM; (h) the
transaction is not valid or appears to be suspicious or fraudulent or done with an
intent to abuse the process or for wrongful gain to any member or wrongful loss to
Tide; (i) the transaction is made towards a purchase of prohibited goods or services;
or (j) the transaction is directly or indirectly made towards payment of rent, utilities,
bill payments, fuel or education fee. This list is non-exhaustive and may be subject to
change from time to time. Merchants or the merchant banks get a specific code
based on what they sell or the services they provide. This code is called a Merchant
Category Code (MCC). We use the MCC to determine the nature of a transaction.
We do not control what type of MCC a merchant gets and cannot change this code.
This means that in some cases, a transaction which seems to be eligible for this offer
may not actually be eligible because of the MCC.
7. We reserve the right to withhold or reclaim any Reward or Cashback you receive
under an Offer if (i) the Reward or Cashback was earned fraudulently, (ii) it is found
that you have breached the Offer terms or the standard Tide terms and conditions in
relation to holding a Tide account or a Tide card; (iii) a technical error has occurred
when applying the Cashback or the Reward. If we find out that any Reward or
Cashback has been given or calculated incorrectly, we reserve the right to reclaim or
deduct payments from your Tide account, including with respect to card payments for
anything that you later cancel or return for a refund.
8. If we find that rewards have been delivered to you incorrectly, we reserve the right to
cancel or set off such erroneously delivered rewards against any sums we owe you,
subject to applicable law. We also reserve the right to withhold or forfeit any rewards
we believe have been earned fraudulently.
9. This offer is being made on a “best effort” basis and participation in this offer is
voluntary. By participating in this offer, you agree to release from liability, and hold
harmless us, and any of our affiliates, employees or agents representing or related to
us and our services/products. This release is for all liability arising out of, or in
connection with this offer, even if caused or contributed to by our negligence.
10. Our decision as to the rewards and any associated computation will be final and
binding. For any disputes about the rewards, you must reach out to us at
indiasupport@tide.co within thirty (30) days from the date you’re informed about the
rewards you’ve earned under the offer.
