articulation of ethical issues.

intended frequency of meetings:

(a) Expected absence of supervisor(s) on leave/sabbaticals or conference attendance during the
next year.

THE GROUP’S EXPECTATIONS:

C1 The group should set out in as much detail as it can what it expects of the supervisor and the
department
Guidance and Expertise: our supervisor should be an expert in our field, able to guide you through
the research process, methodology, and analysis. They should help us refine our research question
and develop a feasible research plan.
Regular Meetings and Feedback: Expect to have regular meetings with our supervisor to discuss our
progress, challenges, and get feedback on drafts.
Support and Encouragement: Research can be challenging. The supervisor should provide
encouragement and support throughout the project.
Standard of completion for assignments, provide with the literature and sources he has available.

D1 The Group should set out its and broad timetable for the Research Report project. It is essential that
this is in line with the course timetable.
We plan on meeting once a week and the week before our assignment is due, we plan on meeting
twice to edit and make necessary changes before submitting.

It is our guideline that all who contributes significantly to the conception, execution and writing-up of

Copyright in a Research Report vests in the authors, subject to the rights WITS has in terms of the
general rules.
