BRDCA takes great pleasure in inviting all schools across Karnataka State (regardless
of syllabus) to participate in the Karnataka State School Team Chess Championship
2024-25 for Girls & Open categories.

ENTRY FEE: PER TEAM/CATEGORY RS.2600/-

REPORTING TIME:

9.00 AM on Saturday 13th July 2024

9.00 AM on Sunday 14th July 2024

Tournament will start by 9.15 AM (Inauguration and player's meeting)

The tournament will be played on Swiss league I Round Robin basis.
The total no. of rounds will be announced before the start of the tournament.
The tournament will be held separately for GIRLS and OPEN categories.
Each school can send teams for all the14 Categories OR Any Category.

A school can send any number of teams in each category. But for the overall champion-
ship the best team points only in a category combining all the 14 categories together
will be considered. If a School wants to compete for the overall championship taking
part in all the 14 categories is mandatory category the team should consist of 4 players
only. The board order of the team should be sent in the entry form, and it cannot be
changed for the tournament. Please enter the names in CAPITAL LETTERS

All the player's must be attired in their respective School uniforms and carry for thei
School Identity card. Participation in the event requires mandatory registration with
the KSCA for the year 2024-25. The school must send their teams with their officials
only.

Lunch will be provided for all the participants and School officials only
 Out station teams have to make their own arrangement for lodging. Officials
are requested to inform to all the players their category and board order (board
1 is called board A, board 2 is called Board Band Board 3 is called Board C
and board 4 is called Board D) before coming to the tournament and they
should report according to their category, board order and players must check-
their table numbers. Captains of the team only have to give their team result.
Girls are allowed to play in open categories also.

School officials are responsible for the proper behavior of their students.
Maximum Duration of each round will be one hour. Organizer reserves the right to amend or
alter the rules and regulations and it will be announced before the start of the tournament.
They also reserve the right to accept or reject the entries without giving any reasons. Any
other rules and changes will be communicated during the players' meeting by the Chief Arbi-
ter.

1. CATEGORY: I & II STD/ CLASS/ GRADE AND BELOW

2. CATEGORY: Ill STD/ CLASS /GRADE TOTAL PRIZES
3. CATEGORY: IV STD/ CLASS /GRADE Top Three Team Prizes for each Category -
4. CATEGORY : V STD/ CLASS/GRADE Open & Girls Separate Prizes
5. CATEGORY :VI STD/ CLASS /GRADE
6. CATEGORY : VII & VIII STD/ CLASS/GRADE
Total 42 + 10 Trophies & 336 Medals
7. CATEGORY: IX, X, XI AND XII STD/CLASS/GRADE.

PLEASE NOTE: LOWER STD/GRADE/CLASS STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO PLAY

IN HIGHER STD/GRADE/CLASS CATEGORY
SCHOOL PRIZES:
1. TOP 3 SCHOOL PRIZES IN BOTH OPEN & GIRLS SECTION SEPARATELY GIVEN FOR SCHOOLS.
(WINNER, RUNNER, RUNNER UP- BEAUTIFUL GLITTERING TROPHIES)
(WHICH WON HIGHEST NO OF PRIZES IN THE 7 CATEGORIES OF OPEN AND GIRLS CATEGORY SEPARATELY)
2. BEST SCHOOL PRIZE: 4TH TO 10TH PRIZE (GREATER NO OF ENTRY /Victory FROM THE SCHOOL)
Board Prizes will be given for the Top 3 Best Performers in Each Category
(56 Gold, 56 Silver, 56 Bronze Medals)
CERTIFICATE WILL BE GIVEN TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS.
Entry will not be accepted after the Closing Date.
