We are pleased to mention the following comment for the purpose indicated below:
In case of any modification other than those desired are carried out, the same shall be
highlighted clearly in the Drawing/Document with full justification thereof and resubmitted for
approval.
Approval/Comments/Information conveyed herein neither relieves the contractor of his
contractual obligation and his responsibilities for correctness of dimensions, material of
constructions, weight, quantities, design details, assemble fits, performance particulars and
conformity of the supplies with the Statutory Laws of Bangladesh as may be applicable, nor does
it limit the Employer’s right under the contract.”

 Comments:
1) T ension set for 230kV OP GW:
T his approval supersedes the corresponding earlier approval given vide P GCB's letter No:
27.21.0000.411.49.001.17.654; Dated: 13/08/2018.

2) Joint Box for 230kV OP GW-OP GW on T ower and OFC on tower:

T he joint boxes shall consist of an external steel or die cast aluminium housing and provide
protection to IEC 60529 IP 447, and an internal die cast aluminium or high impact plastic ABS
box to IEC 60529 IP 54 as per the specification of the Contract.

3) Vibration Damper for 230kV OP GW:

i) Installation torque, messenger cable size and individual dimension and weight of the
masses shall be mentioned.
ii) Messenger cable shall be made from high tensile steel wire having a minimum tensile
strength of 1220 N/mm2.
iii) T he messenger cable shall comprise a suitable number of high tensile steel wire strands,
(minimum number 19).
iv) Damper study report along with placement chart shall be submitted by the contractor.
v) T he clamping range of clamp shall be mentioned.

4) Armor rods of Vibration Damper for 230kV OP GW:

Number of rod shall be mentioned in the drawing of armor rods.

5) Downlead clamp for 230kV OP GW drawing shall be submitted by the Contractor.
