NEET PG Cutoff 2023 - The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the NEET PG 2023
result on March 14. The NEET PG cutoff scores 2023 has also been released along with result at
nbe.edu.in. As per the latest NEET PG cutoff, the qualifying percentile is 291 for General, 257 for SC/
ST/OBC, and 274 for General-PH.

In order to qualify for the postgraduate medical entrance test, candidates must secure equal to more
than NEET PG cut-off percentile and scores. The NEET PG 2023 cutoff percentile is 50th for the
General category, 40th and 45th for SC/ST/OBC, and General-PH categories, respectively. The
equivalent score of the NEET PG 2023 cutoff percentile is also released along with the result.
Previously, the NEET PG cut-off 2022 scores equivalent to the qualifying percentile is 275 for General,
245 for SC/ST/OBC, and 260 for General-PH.

Based on NEET PG cut off 2023, NBE will prepare the merit list for qualified candidates. Aspirants
securing NEET PG 2023 cutoff will be included in the merit list. Through NEET PG cutoff, qualified
candidates will be granted admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 50% state quota, all deemed/
central universities, ESIC/AMFS colleges, and private institutes.

Candidates must note that securing the NEET PG cutoff does not guarantee admission into PG
medical courses. Aspirants must appear for the NEET PG counselling process on the basis of the
NEET PG merit list 2023. The NEET PG 2023 exam will be conducted on March 5 in computer-based
mode.

The admission will be granted on the basis of merit rank, preferences of colleges and courses, seats
available, reservation criteria, and other factors to the medical postgraduate courses. On the basis of
the NEET PG 2023 cut off, the medical graduates will be shortlisted for 24,547 Doctor of Medicine

Types of NEET PG 2023 Cut off

The cut off of NEET PG 2023 will be considered for admission to the below-mentioned postgraduate
medical seats:

• 50% All India Quota seats (excluding former Jammu & Kashmir state)

• 50% State Quota seats (including state of Jammu and Kashmir)

In order to be included in NEET PG merit list for 50% AIQ seats, aspirants must secure NEET PG cutoff

Revision of NEET PG 2023 Cut off

As per the NBE NEET PG brochure, in case of any vacant seats left after completion of all rounds of
counselling, the National Medical Commission (NMC) in consultation with the Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare (MoHFW) will revise NEET PG cutoff 2023 for all categories. NEET PG 2022 cut off was
reduced by 25 percentile for General, SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates. NEET PG 2022 revised cutoff

NEET PG 2019 cutoff for general category candidates was lowered to 44th percentile with the 313

NEET PG Cutoff 2023 - Tie-breaker

In case two or more candidates secure equal marks in the NEET PG merit list, NBE uses NEET MD/MS
tie-breaking process as mentioned below.

• Greater number of correct responses - Candidates with a greater number of correct responses
will be placed higher in NEET PG merit list

• Lesser number of negative responses - If the tie still exists, Aspirants with less number of
negative answers will be allotted better rank

• Age - If the tie exists, the older candidate will be given first preference
• Higher aggregate marks in MBBS - Candidates securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in
all MBBS professional examinations will be considered first in NEET PG merit list 2023.

NEET PG Counselling 2023

Using NEET PG 2023 cutoff, NBE will release NEET PG merit list 2023 containing merit rank. On the
basis of merit rank, candidates will be called for NEET PG 2023 counselling for admission to 50% AIQ
seats, 100% seats in deemed/central universities and ESIC/AFMS institutes.

In order to appear for the counselling of NEET PG 2023, aspirants need to register themselves using
personal, contact and other details. While registering, aspirants have to provide their preferences of
