1.0 VOLUME ADJUSTMENT

The volume button (Figure 1) is located at the bottom-right of the tablet. This is used to
increase or decrease the volume of the call. The volume control can also be used prior
to being on an active call to ensure a comfortable volume level.

NOTE: The volume button on the tablet will not adjust the actual TV volume. If you find the call
volume is still too low after using the tablet control, please ensure the volume is set to maximum
using the TV manufacturer’s remote.

2.0 MUTING THE MICROPHONE

The mute button is located at the bottom corner of the tablet, next to the volume
control. Each press of the mute button will cycle through mute and unmute states, with
a corresponding illumination color. There are three illumination states:

• Standby: No active call (No Illumination)

• Muted: Active call (Red Illumination)

• Unmuted: Active Call (Green Illumination)

4.0 SHARING YOUR SCREEN

If your VCU is connected to a computer, you can share the output during a meeting
using the touchscreen controls by tapping Share Screen (Figure 2).

NOTE: You must have “presenter rights” to share your screen during a meeting. By default,
the host is the presenter. Only the host can grant presenter rights during a meeting.

Figure 2.

You now have two options:

• Tapping Share in call will immediately share your computer’s display with
everyone in the meeting (Figure 3).

• Tapping Preview will allow you to review the computer’s display privately prior to
sharing it within a call. (Figure 3)

earlier by the WebEx team. What do I do?

• Tap the Call button

• Tap Recents
• The meeting you lost connection with should populate at the top of this list.
• Tap the entry and then tap the Call button to reconnect

NOTE: In the event this is unsuccessful, please call extension 70444 or your System Support

Q: I cannot hear anything in my meeting. The volume is maxed out on the tablet. I am
trying to turn up the volume on the TV with the manufacturer’s remote and it is not
responding. What now?

1. Check the batteries in the remote. It is possible they are depleted, have leaked,
or corrosion has formed on the contacts. If necessary, gently wipe the contacts
with a cloth and/or replace the batteries.

2. Please ensure nothing is blocking the infrared receiver on the TV, located in
either the bottom-center or bottom-left corner of the TV.

3. It is possible you have the wrong remote. If your TV was recently replaced,
please ensure your remote manufacturer matches that of your TV. If it does not,
please contact the WebEx team immediately.

Q: My school’s VCU is completely disconnected from the wall. Who do I contact to

resolve this issue?
Please contact either your SST or the WebEx team for further assistance.
