34. A. (i) Identify the acid and the base whose combination forms the common salt that you use
in your food. Write its formula and chemical name of this salt. Name the source from where it is
obtained.
(ii) What is rock salt? Mention its colour and the reason due to which it has this colour.
(iii) What happen when electricity is passed through brine? Write the chemical equation for it.

(ii) Explain the function of each ingredient.
(iii)Write the chemical reaction taking place when the powder is heated during baking.

37. Salts of a strong acid and a strong base are neutral with pH value of 7. On the other hand,
salts of a strong acid and weak base are acidic with pH value less than 7 and those of a strong
