3. 2 hành động diễn ra đồng thời trong quá khứ → 2 hành động (was/were +Ving)
Ex: While I was doing my homework at 8pm last night, my brother was playing games.
Các thì nói về tương lai:
1. S + will + Vo → Không chắc chắn. Ex: I will not make that mistake again.
→ Đưa ra một quyết định ngay lúc nói. Ex: A: It’s very hot here.
B: I’ll open the air-conditioner.

2. am/is/are + going to +Vo → Dự đoán một việc chắn chắn xảy ra (không quan tâm đến kết quả)
Ex: Look at those clouds. → It’s going to rain.
→ = am/is/are + Ving khi nói về kế hoạch của một cá nhân nào đó.
(hai thì này tương đương với nhau khi có thời gian trong tương lai.)
Ex: I am going to buy/ am buying new shoes tomorrow.
(Tôi định mua một đôi giầy mới ngày mai.)

3. Thì hiện tại đơn (S + Vo/s/es) → Nói về kế hoạch công cộng (plane/ bus/ train/ film/ football match/ …)
Ex: The plane takes off at 6am tomorrow.
