more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know

Pre-primary Coordinator‛s Desk
"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." —W.B. Yeats
The years of pre-primary education are the crucial years that shape a child for the
future. The foundation years therefore had to be addressed in a holistic manner.
Thematic learning is the cornerstone of Apeejay’s bequest. From nursery to the third
standard, we follow this method. It lays the foundation of a child’s learning through our
detailed curriculum with pre-planned topics and our CEPS books—a complimentary
process that enhances a child’s creative and academic growth.
To fulfil this pedagogy, we involve and encourage our students in group activities—
both in the classrooms that reflect the themes of a particular topic as well as offer
guidelines for the parents to follow at home.
At Apeejay the teaching faculty work in a collaborative process where discussions with
one another and regular feedback help us structure a well integrated lesson plan that
has the most positive impact on a child.
Our common vision is to lay the right foundation for early learners and is committed
to this dream.

Every child is gifted. They just unwrap their packages at different times. It is very
important to let a child have the opportunity to grow, develop and above all, create!
The colourful and happy world of the Preprimary welcomed the tiny tots with open
arms. But this time with a difference, as the children were to experience the outside
social world for the first time but with covid protocol as much as possible, until we all
crossed the hurdles to be free. It is usually a difficult task for the school teachers to
settle down the children in an all-new environment. But to ease that, the Preprimary
department, with its magical touch, decorated the world of these tiny tots and made
the children experience the best period of their life.
All the activities throughout the year revolve round various themes, which helped the
children learn and know more about its importance through practical and experiential
learning.
Activities like Role play of Our community Helpers made the children aware of the
importance of our helpers in the society and also to value and respect the duties
rendered by them in our society.

entire school.
As part of the theme-based monthly activities, a number of awareness programmes
were conducted by the students of Preprimary such as ‘save water’, ‘save animals’,

Learning how to prepare healthy meals is an important skill in life , and the earlier
children start the better. By acquiring this invaluable skill, children can also gain an
understanding of the importance of a healthy and balanced diet. “Cooking club“,
develops this skill of the children. The children were very excited on the very first day
and their last dish was also prepared with the same excitement. The idea behind this
club was to prepare healthy interesting dishes which the children could cook easily
and safely. They brought all the ingredients required for preparing the dishes. They
prepared many dishes like cheese sandwich, bhelpuri, healthy snack with cheese,
pineapple and grapes ,corn chat, aloo chat, dahi puri, fruit salad in cream , coconut

Citizen Program in its premises with the introduction of the program by Regional
Coordinators (Mumbai Region) Mr. Harish Dhyani and Mrs. Geeta Dhyani on 9th August,
2022.
The vision of this program is to understand how to transform an ordinary life step by step
to an extraordinary one and to enable the development of Awakened future citizens
by allowing them to discover a Value System for themselves. The Awakened Citizen
Program emphasizes that each child is unique and has infinite potential; education is
the unfolding of this potential which can be manifested as excellence in every walk of
life
The program is designed in a discussion-oriented manner where the students analyze
various explorations, real life situations and role models. The students think about,
discuss and discover the consequences of various choices and hence get armed
with a decision-making framework for life. It enables the children to develop faith in
themselves, discover values and make responsible choices. This key message of the
program is that each individual has infinite strength, infinite potential, and infinite
goodness. This power and strength can be felt, every time we say “I CAN”. The faith
in this strength is called Atmashradha and is the basis to awakening several human
possibilities that are open to us.

2022-2023
The school has awarded me the position of head boy, a position that gives me
the opportunity to interact with students and find solutions to their problems to
make the school a more cohesive and joyous environment. It also truly made me
Dirshak Deepak Patro understand the gravity of responsibility and the role it has to play in my life as well
XII - B as others and it has left me a more understanding human. It has helped me raise
Junior Head Boy the opinions of others as well as learning from them by connecting to them and
helping them wherever I can.
The end of my journey here will materialise in 2023, which seems rather
inconceivable now. The most accurate manner in which I can describe my journey
here is:
It's better to conquer yourself than win a thousand battles- Gautama Buddha.
Holding on to the revered position of the head girl of Apeejay School Kharghar, I
realised that all our dreams could come true if we dared to pursue them. I was a
bird in my sweet nest. But my teachers made me leave my comfort zone by toiling
myself in activities & values. Hence, not just to fly but soar high like an eagle.
John. F. Kennedy said, 'Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.'
Being the head girl is to meet the little trust and faith of the students with
liveliness, steering them through the rash storms. It's about acknowledging that
'If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now.' Thus,
instilling progress for a purpose.

Straight from the Junior
‘A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way'
It’s in deed a great privileged for me as a junior Head boy to carry out the
assigned resposibilities in a sincere, systematic and dedicated manner. Apeejay
has been my home since nursery and I have only flourished from day one. After
the short listing procedure and rigorous interview session, when Principal ma’am
announced my name Atiksh Rawat as Junior Head boy, I was overwhelmed with
joy. I had mixed feeling of happines as well as satisfaction as my dedication and
hardwork was recognized. The whole class started the victory dance and came to
congratulate me. And now for me , being the head boy was definitely a blessing
and a great honour. It brought both a sense of pride and responsibility. Many of
my good friends too had got selected for the perfectorial Board. I was happy that
I would be working with my friends and also children of the other section. For me,
being the junior head boy is not about position or the title but it is about action
Atiksh Rawat and example which can make a difference. I stand here as a leader not just to lead
V-D but to work in collaboration to achive the best for our school . I will try my best and
Junior Head Boy work persistently for the exellence of our school. Being a head boy has shaped
me into a better personality which, i’m sure, will help me in my future years. It has
also taught me how to be organized and be a better leader and also taught me
patience and how to be a confident person to face every problem with a strong
will.
And at last, I express my gratitude towards the enlightening and indwelling vison
of our school head, our Principal ma’am, Primary Co-odinator, our teachers for
seeing the potential of making a change in me. Keeping in sync with the school’s
moto “Soaring High is My Nature” .
Thank You
"A Journey of 1000 miles starts with a first step". My Journey with Apeejay started
as Junior KG student and now I am proud to be Junior Head Girl.
Through this opportunity of being a Head Girl I have learnt to strike a balance
between academics and co curricular activities. School always believes in holistic
development.
These learnings and development is made possible with the support of our
Sanvi V Vedam Principal Madam, Co ordinator Madam and our beloved teachers. They are our
V-C pillars of success. I promise to keep up their faith. Looking forward for many such
opportunities.

“Language is the blood of the soul into which thoughts run and out of
which they grow.”-Oliver Wendell Holmes
Language gives the world insight into human mind. A step beyond
simple communication, allowing the mind to express thoughts,
emotions and intellect. It changes the way in which the world is
perceived.
Kids are youthful souls filled with creativity and curiosity. We can often
find them indulged in some or the other form of art. Be it drawing,
modeling, or writing.
Through art, they can freely express themselves and explore their
strengths and interests. It also allows them to learn from their mistakes
and inquire into a variety of different forms to showcase themselves.
They get freedom and their feelings are encouraged to flow as they
express themselves.
