Subject: Invitation of applications from eligible officers for the Half-yearly Departmental
Examination of the officers of the Government of West Bengal (including All India
Service officers), May, 2023.
Sir,
I am directed to address you on the subject noted above and to state that the next Half-yearly
Departmental Examination of the officers of the Government of West Bengal (incuding A.I.S. officers) will be held in
the Commission's examination hall at Kolkata on and from the 18"July, 2023

Inthis connectioni, Iam to refer to rule 4 of Chapter-II(A) of the Services (Training &Examination)
Rules, West Bengal and to request that the Commission may be furnished with a statement (in duplicate) in the
enclosed proforma showing the names and particulars of the officers who are liable and intending to appear at
the next Half-yearly Departmental Examination of the officers of the Government of West Bengal (including
A.I.S. officers), May, 2023. The Statement should reach this office at the above address not later than the 19
June, 2023. You are requested to send a copy of the abOve mentioned statement as early as possible at e-mail-id
(dsexampscwb@gmail.com.). Names of officers received after the closing date (i.e. the 19th June, 2023) will not be
accepted by the Commission.
Particulars furnished in respect of the examinees concerned are sometimes found to be incorrect
and/or incomplete. Preparation of results on the basis of such incorrect/incomplete particulars would lead to
publication of incorrect results in these cases. I am accordingly to request you to ensure that the relevant
columns of the prescribed proforma are filled in properly in respect of each and every examinee and in column
examination should be very clearly
of the enclosed proforma, subject(s) in which an examinee is still liable to
indicated. Iam further to request to mention the mother tongue of the officers which is required in terms of West
Bengal Services (Training & Examination) Rules, 1953.
