What is al clad system?

The AL CLAD SYSTEM is a complete K-FLEX elastomeric
insulation system coupled with a multi-layered covering,
resistant to ultraviolet rays and atmospheric agents.
Because of its excellent physical properties, AL CLAD
SYSTEM is extremely robust, highly flexible and shock-
resistant, reduces application time and is easy to maintain.
AL CLAD SYSTEM offers a wide range of products and
accessories to meet all the installer’s requirements.

ALU COVERING WITH THE ADVANTAGE OF BEING FLEXIBLE

CLASS 0 SYSTEM
AL CLAD is self-extinguishing and resistant to acids, alkali, salts,
petroleum, benzine and atmospheric agents.
The material is anticorrosive and water-proof.
These properties ensure that the insulation’s durability will be the
same as that of the plant.

VERSATILE AND FLEXIBLE

Light, easy to handle and extremely flexible, it allows for an easy,
precise and clean installation. Attached to the elastomeric foam,
the AL CLAD sheet regains its former shape even after having been
crushed by handling, without leaving traces of marks or finger prints.

VERY EASY AND QUICK APPLICATION

The application of tubes pre-covered takes literally minutes.
This solution needs only one application in order to obtain an
insulation complete with covering.
The covered tube can be easily cut with a knife.
Sealing can be carried out by using self-adhesive tapes and
special glues.
Elbows and “T” couplings are pre-cut in standard
measurements so they can be easily and quickly applied.
The AL CLAD sheet can be easily adapted to any shape which

Designed for easy installation
The following operation is extremely quick and easy:
- wrap the covered insulation tube around the length of pipe;
- glue and seal the edges with the correct adhesive;
- join the edges of the covering together using the self-adhesive overlap
(Fig. 1) and strengthen the joint with either AL CLAD self-adhesive tape
(Fig. 2) or with plastic rivets*.

The joining of two adjacent tubes is extremely simple : Thanks to it’s flexibility, it is adaptable to any shape and size.
