T1 Comments: Vyom has been steadily developing his skills. In math, Vyom has demonstrated an understanding of the concepts. In reading, Vyom can
answer questions about key details of a text. He can also retell a story in his own words. When writing about his reading, Vyom needs to include more
evidence from the text to support his conclusions. As we prepare for Term 2, please encourage your student to continue to read at least 30 minutes
each day and write about his reading. Also, work on the Math online resources provided to improve math skills. With focus and hard work, Vyom's rest of
the school year will be a success.

T2 Comments: Vyom makes impressive use of his time and produces work that regularly exceeds expectations. In math, Vyom has demonstrated a
strong understanding of the material. When presented with special math challenges, he has seized every opportunity to push himself. Vyom's reading
comprehension is strong. He understands the literal meaning in a text and can infer, or read between the lines. A natural writer, Vyom can produce a
captivating story that includes dialogue, actions, thoughts, and feelings, as well as a conclusion. His language is rich. Vyom will surely continue to
thrive throughout the rest of the school year.

T3 Comments: Vyom uses his time productively and produces work that meets expectations. In math, Vyom has demonstrated a strong understanding of
the material. When presented with special math challenges, he has seized every opportunity to push himself. Vyom's reading comprehension is strong.
He understands the literal meaning in a text and can infer, or read between the lines. When writing about his reading, Vyom goes beyond the text,
coming up with deep insights. Vyom will surely continue to thrive throughout the rest of the school year.

T4 Comments: Vyom uses his time productively and produces work that meets expectations. In math, Vyom has demonstrated a strong understanding of
the material. When presented with special math challenges, he has seized every opportunity to push himself. Vyom will surely do plenty of reading
over the summer. He should challenge himself to find books in genres or topics he has less experience with. Over the summer, Vyom should look for
writing opportunities, such as stories, a journal, or emails to family, to practice his writing skills. Vyom has performed admirably in school. This is a year
for him to be proud of.

Passing / Promotion
Students may be advanced to the next grade level by meeting promotion standards. To be promoted, the student must: earn a yearly average of 70 or
above in reading, language, math, and science or social studies, meet the state attendance requirements, and meet district and state promotion
guidelines on assessments.
