Class VII

Time for some holiday fun,

Time for some play,

Summers are the time to chill,

And play a lot with clay,

Castles in the sand for sure,

Sun block would be the only cure,

In the summer’s heat,

Happy Summer Season!

General Instructions that are to be followed:
 Download the holiday homework pages and complete the
task.
 Handwriting should be neat and legible.
 All the subject holiday homework should be done in
respective subject notebooks.
 The holiday homework would be graded.
 The work should be original and not copied from internet.
 The assignments should be submitted to the respective
subject teachers.
 Surprise recapitulation will be done by the teachers in the
month of July.
 Encourage your ward to do the assigned holiday homework
independently.

Summer Tips to be followed:

 “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body”- Pay attention to
your health, go for morning and evening walks, drink lots of
water, avoid the consumption of junk food, eat healthy and
stay healthy.
 Open your mind for reading newspapers, novels, blogs and
stories that will help you in increasing your vocabulary.
 Indulge yourself into activities like cooking, singing, dancing,
aerobics, cycling, trekking, swimming, art and craft, river
rafting and gardening. And share your experience with your
family and friends.
 Spend quality time with your grandparents and parents, talk
to them regarding their experience of school.
Science:
1. Prepare a working model on any of the below mentioned
topics: Food and Technology, Universe and Environment.
2. Make an attractive Poster to promote “Blood Donation- A
Noble cause”.

3. Solve the worksheets uploaded on Integral and paste them

in Science notebook.
4. Revise the syllabus covered so far.

Maths:
1. Prepare a presentation of 8 to 10 slides or a chart on the following topic:
Collect information on 7 wonders of the world on the following parameters:

 Dimensions of the structure.

 Time period required to build.
 Comparison of area using bar graph.
 Comparison on number of visitors during the last 3 years using bar
graph.
 How symmetry is one of the main features of all Seven Wonders of the
World.

2. Practice Ch-1, Ch-2, and Ch-9 and practice three sums(c, d, e of every
question) from each exercise in Math notebook.

Social Science:
1. Revise all the chapters done so far.
 2. Do the worksheets uploaded on the integral for the chapters done in
the class that are Ch 1- History- When, Where and How, Ch- 11- Our
Environment, Ch-24- Understanding Democracy.
3. Paste the worksheets in Social Science notebook.
4. Surprise recapitulation for the above mentioned chapters will be done
in the month of July.
5. Inter Class Public Speaking Competition will be conducted in the month
of July on the topic “Making of a Sustainable World”.
6. Write an article on the role of print and electronic media in sensitizing
people towards the plight of child labour in India.
7. Prepare a 3d Model:
a. Interior of Earth (Roll No. 1-6)
b. Sources of Medieval History of India (Roll No. 7-13)
c. Democracy V/S Dictatorship (Roll No. 14-20)

English:

 Revise Ch -1, 2, 3 of English Reader.

 Do grammar worksheet and paste it in the English notebook.
 Do you believe in ghosts or in the supernatural? Narrate a scary
experience you have had or a ghost story you have read in the first
person narration technique. Supply a suitable title to the story.
 Make a collage of Major Women authors of 19th century .Why women
authors used to write with a ‘PEN NAME ‘? Find out one such author and
write about her.
 Read a book of your choice and write a review including:
1. Title
2.Main characters
3. Plot
4. Theme
 Write one page cursive writing for fifteen days in your holiday’s
homework notebook.
 Express your love for your father on this “Father‘s Day “by presenting
him a card entitled “ALL ABOUT MY DAD “.
  Prepare a debate on the topic “Influence of social media on students
‘life.” (Inter house Public speaking competition)
 Perform an aasana daily and make a poster on “International Yoga Day “.
