Cable cover boards and strips are used for mechanical protection of underground cables and utility lines. Moreover,
these products also have a distinguishing and warning function (description and colour). They serve as a replacement
for the older system of cable protection using bricks or concrete slabs. Compared to this system, plastic cover
boards and strips excel in longer life (minimum of 30 years), far lower transport requirements and, above all, easier
handling, storage and actual application.
The products are based on plastic extrusion. Hot plastic passes through a mould and then is cooled to the shape of
the final product. This technology guarantees a completely accurately shaped product, its toughness and mechanical
resistance.
The boards and strips are produced in accordance with European Standard EN 50520, which lays down strict quality
requirements
as regards mechanical strength (so-called impact test), tensile strength of the board and stability of the marking.

Lock: The cable cover boards and strips feature a lock that ensures a secure yet flexible
connection. It is designed so that in a smooth bend in the route, the individual boards
overlap each other, thus providing constant protection of the cables placed underneath.
This type of lock also allows the worker to join the boards while standing, which
dramatically speeds up the entire cable laying process.

PVC COVER BOARDS

DEKAB PVC boards are used to protect cables (power and
communication) laid in the ground. Moreover, they also have a
distinguishing and warning function (description and colour). This type
of protective board is made of PVC, which guarantees excellent
mechanical properties at a relatively low thickness. The boards are
made with a top colour layer, which can be specified by the customer.

PE COVER BOARDS AND STRIPS

DEKAB PE boards are used to protect cables (power and communication) laid in the
ground. Moreover, they also have a distinguishing and warning function (description
and colour). This type of protective board is made of PE (polyethylene), which
guarantees excellent mechanical properties and high flexibility that allow this
mechanical protection to also be made in the form of flexible strips. This concept
can be successfully used in case of longer straight routes where the application of
these strips greatly speeds up the overall application time. The boards and strips are
made with a top colour layer, which can be specified by the customer.

CABLE COVERS
DEKAB PVC cable covers are used to protect cables (power and
communication) laid in the ground. Moreover, they also have a distinguishing
and warning function (description and colour).
This type of protection is made of PVC, which guarantees excellent
mechanical properties at a relatively low thickness. Unlike flat boards, these
cable covers can protect either a single cable (in the RH design) or a group of
cables (HA). The covers are mainly used in locations where various types of
cables from various investors are laid together. The covers are made with a
top colour layer, which can be specified by the customer.
