B. Concurrent Requirements

(1) Effected airlines should notify Zodiac Services Europe (contact Nadia Fajri – phone: 33 1 64
86 53 53 – e-mail: Nadia.Fajri@zodiacaerospace.com) of the part number and quantity of
boxes needed, a minimum of 30 days (Q ≤ 20 units) or 60 days (Q > 20 units) prior to
scheduled maintenance for replacement of the boxes.

(2) Effected airlines need to comply with Boeing SB 737-35A1121, 747-35A2126 or

767-35A0057 as applicable.

C. Reason

(1) To inform the operators that several case of escapement were observed recently on the inlet
fitting PNR 414490 (not procurable part), which is assembled on the supply hose assembly of
the above equipments.

(2) To provide instructions for inspection of potentially defective equipment.

D. Description

The cause of this escapement is an incorrect deburring on a batch of primary parts. Unfortunately,
several units of Flight Crew Mask Stowage Boxes were manufactured between July 12, 2007 and
November 20, 2007 with parts from this batch, and delivered before the defect was detected. The
list of units delivered with a risk of non conformance is detailed in Table 1 of the appendix.

In case a burr becomes detached from the inlet fitting it can travel in the oxygen supply tube down
to the non return valve and filter assembled in the circuit:

− For MXP147 Series, the non return valve and the filter are integrated in the supply hose
assembly.

− For MXP402 Series and MXP410 Series, the non return valve and filter are installed at the
inlet of the equipped body of the pneumatic assembly.

E. Compliance

Incorporation of this Service Bulletin is required by Intertechnique within 24 months of Service

Bulletin availability.

F. Approval

The technical content of this Service Bulletin has been reviewed and acknowledged by the aircraft
manufacturer.

G. Manpower

(a) Prepare aircraft for Flight Crew Mask Stowage inspection per Boeing SB 737-35A1121,
747-35A2126 or 767-35A0057 as applicable.
(b) Detach the Flight Crew Mask Stowage from the aircraft by un-securing the 4 quarter
turn Dzus fasteners.
(c) Extract the Flight Crew Mask Stowage far enough to see the identification label:
1 Inspect the S/N listed on the identification label shown in Figure 1.
Compare the S/N to the list found in Table 1 of the appendix and:
a If the S/N is found in the Table 1, it should be removed and replaced per the
Boeing SB 737-35A1121, 747-35A2126 or 767-35A0057 as applicable.
Removed Flight Crew Mask Storage should be returned to Zodiac Sevices at

b If the S/N is not found in table 1, then compare the S/N to the list found in
table 2 of the appendix:
If the S/N is found in table 2, then a letter “I” should be added to the end of
the serial number (SER) on the identification label as shown in Figure 2 with
indelible ink or an electric pen.
Then reinstall the Flight Crew Mask Stowage and secure the 4 quarter turn
