• New Modiffication Permit‐ Any m modification to existing

facility afte r obtaining Building
Completion n Certificate shall have Modificatio on Permit to
commencce any mod dification
works.
• Revalidatioon of Modiffication Per mit –Modiffication Perm
mit shall bee revalidated, if the
works are nnot complete
ed within thhe validity peeriod of the Permit.
• Cancellation of Modification Perm
mit – If for aany reasons the modificcation works cannot
be carried oout, then M Modification
Permit shall be cancelled, to obtaiin the refun nd of the
Contractor’s refundable e deposit.
• Amendmen nt of Modification Perm mit‐ The mod
dification peermit shall bbe amended d if there
is any changge in the Consultant/Coontractor/ Cllient /chang
ge in name oof the compaany etc.
• Revision too Modificattion Permitt – Prior to o obtaining
the Modiffication Com mpletion

6. Sub nd Review Process:

The connsultant/conttractor appoointed by thee client shall submit their

documentts & drawing gs in soft
copies as per the submission n requireme ents in a CD in PDF format f
only at Trakhee es- CED
Reception located at Dragon MartM – Firstt Floor or EHS Departm ment
at Jebbel Ali. The name of
relevantt Consultannt, Contracto or, Client & BU, Facility/Plot No./
Location, Subject, Date of
Submisssion should be written on the CD D as per the e attached te
emplate. Iff the client intend to
carryoutt modificatio
ons / fit out within theirr facility, the
e submissio on
drawingss should inc clude the
previoussly approveed drawings s or layout from Trakh hees-CED showing
s
thee existing approved
a
works. AAlso the prroposed dra awings shou uld highlightt modificatio ons &
appliccable chang ges with
cloudingg along withh drawing number & co orrect revision number, etc in
PDF F format. In case of
resubmissions base ed on our suubmission reeview reportt it should be e
clearly higghlighted with title as
a resubbmission witth changes incorporatin ng the prev vious submiission
review w commentts & the
referencce number ofo the previous submissiion including g the revisio
on
number oof the drawin ngs.

6.1 Mod
dification Pe
ermit

6.1.1 The consultant/contrac ctor appoin nted by the e client shaall

submit ttheir docum ments &
drawings in soft copies as per the ssubmission requirementts on the
ap plication forrm.
6.1.2 The docum ments submittted shall be e checked by the Help p Desk
Adm ministrator and if the
documents are in orde e registered in the Modification
Pe rmit System
er it shall be
m (MPS).
Required pa ayment advice for the i nitial fee shhall be generated
and ssent to the submitter

6.1.3 Upon fee pa ayment, Mo odification Peermit System m (MPS) will update
thee payment details

to the Clie ent and th he Contracttor/ Consultant confirming the

6.1.4 Review Eng gineers of CED

the Trakhee es commentts and paym ment notifica ations for the
Modificatiions Permit shall be
sent through h email to cooncerned Co onsultant / contractor

client throuugh MPS.
6.1.5 Response to t the Trakh hees comme ents from th he consultan
nt / contracttor or client shall be
clearly addrressed and shall
s be subbmitted to Trrakhees.
6.1.6 For re-submission, on nly relevan nt documen nts shall be e
submittedd and not all the
documents.. For clarific cation of Trrakhees com mments, the e
consultantts / clients or client
shall co-ord
dinate (if reqquired) and rrespond to the t commen nts
providedd to them. It remains
the Consulttant’s/contac ctor’s/client’ss responsibbility to follow
up and rresolve the pending
issues.
6.1.7 When the review proce ess is comp pleted, the Modification

shall be colllected afterr paying the e remaining CED & EHS fees,
refuundable dep posit and
fee for Certiificate of Co
onformity, if aapplicable.
6.1.8 The fee no otification will be sent to the appllicant throug gh
MPS annd after making the
payment, thhe applicantt shall collecct the appro oved drawings &
Modifiications Perrmit from
CED at Dragon Mart-First floor.
6.1.9 The Modificcations Perm mit approvall shall take 5-10 workin ng
days staarting from the initial
payment da ate to issue of the app roval for the e proposed
modificatio ns works su ubject to
satisfactory submission n of docume nts.

6.2 Revvalidation off Modificatio

on Permit

6.2.1 The Modificcations Perm mit shall reequire to bee revalidated d if

modificaation works are not
completed within
w six (6)) months fro
om the date of issuance of
Modificattion Permit.
6.2.2 Consultant/Contractor/C Client subm mits a requeest for the
revalidation
r
of the Mod dification
Permit with required doocuments ass per the app plication form
m. The
Helpp Desk Administrator
shall checkk the documents and enter in MPS. Requ uired
paym ent advice for the
revalidation fee shall be generatted and sent to the Consultant/C
C
Contractor/CClient for
making the payment.
6.2.3 Upon fee payment,

6.3.3 Upon fee pa ayment, Mod dification Peermit Systemm (MPS) will

6.3.4 Site Inspecttor shall visit the concerrned facility to check wh
hether or nott the proposed
works have been initiated / comple eted on site and

system.
6.3.5 If the workss have not be een initiated
d on site, theen the Admin
nistrator is nnotified to prrepare
the cancellaation letter along
a with infformation reelated to the
claiming off the refunda able
deposit.
6.3.6 If the workss have been initiated or e even comple eted on site,
then the reequest is reje ected
and the Clieent/Contracttor is notifiedd to complette the approval
process by applying g for the
Modificationn Completion n Certificate
