2. Polyether Dispersant:
DOWFAX™ D-800 and 100N50 are non-ionic block polyether dispersants. The dispersant can effectively disperse the
active ingredient particles in water and prevent inter-particle aggregation and sedimentation. Their application characteris-
tics are:
a) Versatile, good wetting and dispersing ability on active ingredient
b) Combination of emulsification and dispersion functions, enhancing the formulation tability for low melting point active
ingredients
c) Can be used in conjunction with TERGITOL™ W-600, with recommended dosage of 2~5%.
d) Also recommended D-800 for use in OD and SE formulations
DOWFAX™ D-865
a) Easy handling EO/PO polyether dispersant
b) Low pour point which is easy to operate
c) Dissolving efficiently in both water and organic solvents
3. Polycarboxylate dispersant:
POWERBLOX ™ D-205
a) Modified acrylate terpolymer with a unique molecular structure, can efficiently disperse a variety of pesticide particles,
ensure stability of the product in storage
b) Enhance the efficiency of grinding
c) pH value adjusted according to need, can be applied broadly to system with different pH values
POWERBLOX ™ D-305
a) Comb-type polyacrylate dispersant, aids the dispersion of the pesticide active ingredient and the stability of the product
in storage
b) High dispersion performance on difficult dispersed active ingredients and pesticide formulations with high active content
c) Used in conjunction with DOWFAX™ D-800 to help increase suspension rate and reduce viscosity of the system; with
recommended dosage at 0.5%-1.5%.

Fertilizer assistant
Surfactant helps improve spreading and penetration performance by reducing surface tension of fertilizer. Agricultural spray
often contains high electrolyte content from fertilizers, micronutrients, and water conditioners. Mixing pesticide formulations in
such system can be challenging due to incompatibility, resulting in semidation, phase separation etc. Understanding how well a
surfactant tolerates fertilizers and other common electrolytes helps formulator prepare pesticide formulations and tank mix part-
ners.
Experiment
Selected Dow nonionic and anionic surfactants were mixed with common electrolytes. After sitting at room temperature for 24
hours the samples were visually inspected.

Chelating Agents
Dow offers amine polycarboxylic acid chelating agents based on EDTA, DTPA and HEDTA, including VERSENE™, VERSENOL™
and VERENEX™ Series of products. These products can be used to chelate trace metal ions in water and lower the effect of
metal ions on pesticide additives, so as to stabilize pesticide formulations. On the other hand, medium and trace elements are
very easily affected by pH and PO43- during the processing of fertilizers and lose their effectiveness after yielding inorganic salts
insoluble in water. Therefore, in order to maintain their stability, medium and trace elements should be chelated with chelating
agents and be kept in a stable water-soluble state. This way, the uptake rate of medium and trace elements in the fertilizer can
be greatly improved.
