What if Life? / Wat is Lewe?
Life is defined as any system capable of performing functions
such as eating, metabolizing, excreting, breathing, moving,
growing, reproducing, and responding to external stimuli.

• All organisms are made up of water and chemical elements; oxygen,


carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen + minerals such as calcium, potassium

What if Life Science? / Wat is Lewenswetenskappe?
It is a natural science with a broad scope but has several unifying
themes that tie it together as a single, coherent field. All organisms are
made up of cells that process hereditary information encoded in genes,
which can be transmitted to future generations.
