Biography Freddy Mercury
Freddie Mercury was born on September 5, 1946, in Stone Town Zanzibar, he was
a British singer, songwriter, record producer and vocalist of the rock band Queen.
At the age of 8 Mercury´s parents sent him to a school in Bombay India where he
studied piano. In 1964, the family fled to London and Mercury offended the Earling
College of Arts.
He was known for his flamboyant stage persona and for his vocal range, he wrote
numerous hits for Queen, he also led a solo career.
People said ´You could have a laugh with Freddie, but you knew were the line was´.
A day before he died, he officially said ´I have AIDS´
Mercury died in 1991 at age 45 due to complications from AIDS.
I admire this person because at that time it was very difficult to express that he was
gay, and he remained strong and even, so he was a successful musician.
