Pre-lesson
1. Stick the calendar on the board and ask pupils what day and what month it is. Then write on
the board. E.g: Monday, 11 October (Say Monday, the elevent of October)
Lesson delivery
2. Play the CD (CD1, Track 52) and pupils point to the numbers in the vocabulary section and
repeat.
ACTIVITIES 3. Pupils listen (CD1, Track 53) to the song. Play the song again and pupils match each verse to
the corresponding picture.(HOTS)
4. Pupils highlight a few words from the song such as celebrate, celebration, fun and special.

5. Pupils rewrite the song in cursive in their exercise book. (CBA)
Post-lesson
6. Play the song again and have pupils sing along, following the words in the student’s book.
