Snood Pattern:
Use your 4-weight yarn and a 5.5 mm hook to create the snood. I do not chain
1 at the end of each round, however you can do this if you prefer.
Neck section:
Rnd 1: Ch 18 [adjust chains depending on
the length of your dog’s neck, this will be
the height of the red line].
Rnd 2: Skip first Ch, SC in all 17 ch, turn
[17]
Rnd 3: BLO SC in each St, turn [17]
Rnd 4-62*: BLO SC x 17, turn [17]
*Adjust the number of rows so the neck
part fits comfortably around your dog’s
neck.
Rnd 63: Slst the 2 ends together, working
through both loops of the SC and the
chain stich [17]
Do not fasten off.
Head section:
Rnd 1: Ch 5 [adjust chains depending on how far you want the snood to sit on
your dog’s face, this will be the length of the blue line].
Rnd 2: Skip first Ch, SC into the remaining 4 Ch, SC around the 63 rows of the
neck part, SC into the other side of the 4 Ch, turn [4 + 63 + 4 = 71]
Rnd 3: BLO SC in each St, turn [71]
Rnd 4-32*: BLO SC x 71, turn [71]
*Adjust the number of rounds so the head part fits comfortably around your
dog’s head when you join the 2 sides. This will be the height of the purple line.
Rnd 33: Slst the 2 ends together, working through both loops of both SCs. You
can leave the last SC unworked [70]
Fasten off and weave in your end on the inside of the snood.

Antler Pattern: Create 2
Use your 3-weight yarn and a 3 mm hook to create the antlers. I suggest using
the yarn under method typically used for amigurumi as this will create tighter
stiches which will ensure the stuffing isn’t visible.
Rnd 1: 6 SC in MR
Rnd 2: Inc x 6 [12]
Rnd 3: (1 SC, Inc) x 6 [18]
Rnd 4-12: SC x 18 [18]
Fasten off the first part and repeat Rnd 1-12, do not fasten off the second part.
We will now join the 2 parts together in Rnd 13. Insert your hook into the 1st
unworked stich of part 1.
Rnd 13: SC x 7, Dec x 2, SC x 7, continue working on second part, SC x 7, Dec x
2, SC x 7 [32]
Use your yarn tail from part 1 to stich close any visible holes from where you
joined the 2 parts together.
Rnd 14: (6 SC, Dec) x 4 [28]
Rnd 15: (5 SC, Dec) x 4 [24]
Rnd 16: (2 SC, Dec) x 6 [18]
Stuff the antler and continue stuffing as
you go.
Rnd 17-30: SC x 18
Finish stuffing and fasten off. Repeat
above steps to create the second antler.

Sew the antlers 13 stiches away from the

front of the snood and with an interspace
of 3 ribs (one on each side of the centre
join).
