Stay Safe Security App with Scream Alert

Problem Statement

People are facing a lot of physical harassment in public places such as railway-bus stands,
footpaths etc. There is a need for a security system to provide safety measures in public places
as well as travelling alone through public transport. Stay Safe Application is an innovative safety
application for women, men, senior citizens and anyone who needs assistance in an urgent
situation.
The front-end involves Dart and the back-end involves SQLite. Here, the IDE used is Android
Studio. Android Studio is the official Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for app
development. Our flutter-based Stay Safe Security System will help the user to reach out to
their family and friends who can navigate their current location.
This project is based on the flutter framework. Dart is a programming language that Google
developed and keeps up with. A cross-platform framework for building high-performance
mobile apps is called Flutter.

Why the particular topic is chosen

The Stay Safe Security App and its stream alerts are chosen for their seamless integration of
advanced technology, offering real-time notifications and enhanced security features. Users opt
for Stay Safe due to its reliability in providing immediate alerts and ensuring swift responses to
potential threats, thereby prioritizing safety and peace of mind. The app's user-friendly
interface and comprehensive coverage further reinforce its appeal, making it a preferred choice
for safeguarding personal and professional environments effectively.

Objective and scope of the Project

The proposed system is for human safety and overcomes the disadvantages of the existing
systems. This proposed system is GPS based “human Security System". It consists of GPS device
i.e. any Android Phone. The device will provide the position information such as latitude,
longitude of the user.

Methodology

In this system, the user can set male or female scream alarms as well as police sirens so that
when they are in danger the alarms will scream and the user can reach the people who can help
them. The user can share their current location with their family or friends who can help them
by tracking their location. A link will be generated.
When the user turns their share location on and then the user can send that web link to anyone
who can track them on Google Map.
The list of family members and friends will be displayed with the details to the user for quick
access. When the user turns on the SOS feature, and in an emergency, they shake their mobile
phone five times an email or SMS will be sent to all friends from their lists with a location link.

The user also get a notification when they enter in danger zone. A combination of GPS and
Crowdsource data is used to provide real-time information on danger zones. GPS is used to
determine the user's current location.
Chatbot Reporting crimes using blockchain technology, ensuring that all information is kept
secure and private.
Advance Tool provide defense tools, safety tips, emergency number and self defence totorials.
Scan taxi Scan the QR code paste it on auto or in a taxi and store the details of the driver and
location of the taxi in an app and share with your contacts.

What contribution the project would be made

 Scream Alarm
The user can set a male voice scream alarm.
They can also set a female voice scream alarm accordingly.
Also, they can set police sirens.
 Track Me
Share location (on/off)
A link is generated and then the user can send that web link to anyone who can track
them on Google Map.
 Friends List
List of friends and family member’s details for quick access.
 SOS (Manual or shake 5 times)
An SMS/Email will be sent to all Friend lists with a location link.
 Danger zone
The user also get a notification when they enter in danger zone.
 Chatbot
Chabot uses natural language processing (NLP) to understand user queries and
Provide appropriate responses.
 Advance Tool
- Advance Tool provide defense tools, safety tips, emergency number and self defence
totorials.
 Scan taxi
- Scan the QR code paste it on auto or in a taxi and store the details of the driver and
location of the taxi in an app and share with your contacts.

Testing Technologies
 Unit Testing
A Unit is a smallest testable portion of system or application which can be compiled,
liked, loaded, and executed.
 Integration Testing-
Integration means combining. For Example, in this testing phase, different software
modules are combined and tested as a group to make sure that integrated system is
ready for system testing.

Limitation/Disadvantages
 Internet Connectivity Dependence
The app may require a stable internet connection to send alerts and receive updates,
which could be a limitation in areas with poor network coverage or during internet
outages.
 Battery Consumption
Continuous use of location services, real-time alerts, and streaming functionalities can
drain device batteries quickly, especially on mobile devices.
 Reliability of Alerts
The effectiveness of alerts depends on various factors such as network reliability, server
uptime and user settings.
Delays or failures in alert delivery could impact the app's reliability during emergencies.
