The given diagram describes the way in which cherry jam is manufactured.

Overall, there are nine main


steps in the process of producing cherry jam, beginning with harvesting cherries by shaking a tree and
ending with labeling jam containers.
In the first step, a sheet is spread on the ground to collect fallen cherries by shaking a tree. After that,
these cherries are transported to a processing plant by a lorry. Following this, they are fed into a sorting
machine to separate leaves and stems before being washed using water. Next, metal spikes are used to
remove stones from cherries.
The process continues with cherries without stones cooked with other ingredients including lemon juice,
sugar, and pectin in a mixer. After being checked to make sure of the quality, the mixture is filled into
jars with lids. In the final stage, a label is stuck on the jars.
