ECLECTICA

BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CITIES: TORONTO, LOS ANGELES AND NEW YORK

GROUP #2 - 8TH B
ECLECTICA is a vibrant and diverse city distinguished by its
exceptional mix of architectural styles, cultures and artistic
expressions. Set in a pictures landscape, Eclectica sprawls along
rolling hills and boasts architecture ranging from modern skyscrapers
to charming historic buildings.

On its bustling streets, Eclectica's citizens enjoy a wide variety of

cultural and gastronomic experiences. From local markets offering
artisanal products to contemporary art galleries, the city celebrates
diversity in all its forms.

Eclectica's population is equally diverse, with residents hailing from

different parts of the world and bringing their unique traditions and
perspectives. This mix of cultures creates a cosmopolitan environment
where tolerance and acceptance are core values.

Luciana Peñaherrera
The problem of our Eclectic city is the
climate, where a lot of sunlight falls and
some people in the city began to damage
their skin or give skin diseases, and in the
city it is very hot and it is causing some
inhabitants to move to others places. This
is being caused by global warming, but
we can take some measures to improve
the situation, for example:
Condition most public places so that
people have a cool place, we can also
increase roofing in some places.
In order to condition the places we can
use solar panels to save energy and help
the planet.

Luciana Peñaherrera
More job possibilities:
It is important to get a job since it helps us have a
better economic situation and for that we need to
prepare and finish a degree.
More means of public transportation.
It is important to have several transportation options
since we can move more quickly and for this we need to
know the prices and routes of each transportation.

More establishments:
It is important since it is what makes up a city and
gives life to the place and for that we need to have
the correct knowledge to create premises.

More contact with the

More cultural offer:
outside:
For this we need
It is important to have food
knowledge of our
or things from other cities
to try other cultures or culture or that city to
traditional things and this give an opinion of the
way we know more about city.

1. WHAT IS COSMOPOLITAN ASSOCIATED WITH?
COSMOPOLITANISM IS THE IDEOLOGY THAT POSITS
THAT ALL HUMAN BEINGS BELONG TO A SINGLE
COMMUNITY, BASED ON SHARED MORALITY. A
PERSON WHO ADHERES TO THE IDEA OF
COSMOPOLITANISM IN ANY OF ITS FORMS IS
CALLED A COSMOPOLITAN, WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH
THE CULTURES AND CUSTOMS OF VARIOUS
COUNTRIES AND IS OPEN TO THEM. A
COSMOPOLITAN PERSON IS ONE WHO IS
CHARACTERIZED BY TRAVELING A LOT, AND
EASILY ADAPTS TO DIFFERENT CULTURES AND
WAYS OF LIFE, WHICH MAKES THEM FEEL THAT
THE WORLD IS THEIR HOMELAND.

2. WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTCS OF AN

COSMOPOLITAN CITY? EZEQUIEL VILLEGAS
A COSMOPOLITAN CITY IS A DIVERSE TERRITORY,
INHABITED BY PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT NATIONS,

3. WHAT ARE COSMOPOLITAN MORAL
V A L U E S ? EZEQUIEL VILLEGAS
COSMOPOLITAN ETHICS ARE HUMANISTIC,
WHOSE CENTER IS THE HUMANITY THAT
INHABITS THE SUBJECT AND IS
UNDERSTOOD WITHIN A UNIVERSAL
COMMUNITY. THE SUPREME VALUE OF THE
PERSON IS EXPRESSED IN THE DIGNITY OF
ONESELF AND OTHERS, WHICH IS
PROMOTED THROUGH INTERSUBJECTIVE

4. WHAT IS THE COSMOPOLITAAPPROACH

T O H U M A N R I G H T S ? LUISANA LOZANO
THE HARD CORE OF COSMOPOLITAN LAW
IS THAT STATES AND INDIVIDUALS HAVE
THE RIGHT TO ESTABLISH RELATIONS
WITH OTHER STATES AND THEIR
CITIZENS WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO
LEGISLATE EXTRATERRITORIALLY.THEY
ALSO HAVE THE IDEOLOGY THAT
POSTULATES THAT ALL HUMAN BEINGS
BELONG TO A SINGLE COMMUNITY,

LUISANA LOZANO

5.What is the main ideology of Cosmopolitanism?

The main ideology of Cosmopolitan, often
associated with the cosmopolitanism movement,
revolves around the idea of embracing a global
perspective that transcends narrow national or
cultural boundaries. Cosmopolitanism emphasizes
the interconnectedness of the world and
advocates for an inclusive approach to human
relations, where individuals recognize and
appreciate the shared humanity that unites them.
This ideology encourages openness to diverse
cultures, ideas, and experiences, fostering a sense
of global citizenship that goes beyond geographical
or cultural limitations.
In the context of "Cosmopolitan," the main
ideology aligns more with contemporary feminism
and the promotion of women's empowerment. The
magazine aims to provide content that addresses
various aspects.
Mauela Còrdova
6.The Cosmopolitan believe that a human being is
an ethical concern?
Ethical cosmopolitanism is a perspective that
advocates the idea that all people, regardless of
their national, cultural or social affiliations, are
subject to the same moral standards. In this view,
boundaries between nations or cultures are
considered morally irrelevant.
According to the various conceptions of moral
cosmopolitanism, it is held that every human
individual is of moral importance and should be
adequately considered in practical deliberations
about any action that may have a significant
impact on the vital, fundamental or important
interests of any person. This philosophy advocates
the inclusion of the global perspective in decision
making, especially in the creation of laws and
policies, recognizing the interconnectedness of
humanity and the shared responsibility for the
well-being of all.

7.What is the definition of Cosmopolitan rights?

Cosmopolitan law, in its essence, encompasses the
rules governing interactions between states and
individuals without restriction of nationality or
citizenship. It is clearly distinguished from state
law, as it focuses on a broader scope,
transcending intergovernmental laws and
geopolitical interests. Its purpose is to establish
ethical and legal guidelines that promote equity
and justice on a global scale, recognizing the
interconnectedness of human beings beyond state
borders.
8.What is a Cosmopolitan view of
human rights? CARLOS VASCONEZ

In the context of a cosmopolitan human

rights regime, our identity transcends
national affiliations, positioning us as
integral members of a vast global
community of nations. Unlike a
conventional system solely bound by
state borders, this cosmopolitan
perspective views human rights as
guardians of individuals, recognizing
them not merely as citizens of specific
nations but as universal persons entitled
to inherent dignity and protection. In this
expansive worldview, the challenges that
reverberate across the global stage, such
as terrorism and extremism, necessitate a
collective and cooperative response. The
interdependence woven into the fabric of
the global community demands a united
front in addressing these pressing issues.
In doing so, the goal extends beyond
safeguarding national interests to
prioritizing the preservation of
international order and the unyielding
respect for human rights on a global
scale.
CARLOS VASCONEZ
9.WHY IS EMPATHY IMPORTANT TO HUMAN RIGHTS?
IT IS IMPORTANT SINCE EMPATHY ALLOWS US TO
SEE THINGS FROM THE OTHER'S PERSPECTIVE
INSTEAD OF OUR OWN. IT IS A CRUCIAL SKILL THAT
ENABLES SOCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL
RELATIONSHIPS, DEVELOPS SELF-AWARENESS, AND
CONTRIBUTES TO AN EQUITABLE AND PEACEFUL
WORLD.
THIS CAN CONTRIBUTE TO HAVING A BETTER
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COSMOPOLITAN SOCIETY.
EMPATHY LITERALLY ALLOWS US TO UNDERSTAND
THE MOOD OF OTHERS AND LEADS US TO MORE
SUPPORTIVE BEHAVIOR, ESPECIALLY WITH PEOPLE
WHO DO NOT BELONG TO OUR COMMUNITY.
VALERIA SABANDO
10.HOW THIS QUOTE ‘PUT YOURSELF IN THEIR
SHOES’ TESTING EMPATHY’S ABILITY TO
MOTIVATE COSMOPOLITAN BEHAVIOR CAN HELP?
IN THE EXPANSIVE EXPLORATION OF THE PROFOUND
AND TIMELESS QUOTE, "PUT YOURSELF IN THEIR
SHOES," THE DEPTH AND TRANSFORMATIVE
POTENTIAL OF EMPATHY UNFURL BEFORE US.
EMPATHY, THAT INHERENT ABILITY TO NOT ONLY
UNDERSTAND BUT TO PROFOUNDLY RESONATE WITH
THE EMOTIONS OF OTHERS, EMERGES AS A
CORNERSTONE OF OUR SHARED HUMAN EXPERIENCE.
AS WE EMBARK ON A COMPREHENSIVE EXAMINATION
OF THIS FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN CAPACITY, WE
UNCOVER ITS CAPACITY TO CATALYZE PROFOUND
SHIFTS IN INDIVIDUAL PERSPECTIVES AND, BY
EXTENSION, IN THE BROADER SOCIETAL PARADIGM.
Cosmopolitan cities,
characterized by cultural
diversity and global influence,
offer unique opportunities for
cross-cultural interactions,
economic growth, and
intellectual exchange. However,
challenges such as social
inequality and cultural tensions
also arise. The overall impact of
cosmopolitanism depends on
how well cities manage
diversity and foster inclusivity,
shaping a dynamic and vibrant
urban landscape.
