According to Elbert Hubbard, “One machine can do the work of fifty ordinary men. No machine
can do the work of one extraordinary man.” Thus, taking inspiration from the quote, I believe the
success of any modern business depends on the efficient administration of its workforce. The
Human Resource Department of a company seeks out for the best candidates by identifying and
supporting the aspirant’s extraordinary growth potential. Therefore, through trial and error,
learning and unlearning, my self- exploration has underlined my intrinsic interest in human
narrations, tendencies, facilitation and management. Further at a time when every business is
undergoing fast digitization and globalization, I seek to focus on finding my niche in a rapidly
Turning the leaf of my educational pursuits, I have always been a dedicated soul who has enjoyed
walking the extra mile to try and test my capabilities. Also, I am fortunate to have a strong support
pillar from my teachers, family and friends, who have motivated me to push my comfort zone to
reach out and excel. Thus, I meticulously completed my higher secondary examination and senior
secondary schooling in 2019 and 2021 respectively. Further, having identified my natural
inclination for English prose and verse, I embarked upon my undergraduate with a degree in BA
(Bachelor of Arts) specializing in English Honours from a college which is affiliated to the
prestigious Calcutta University and will likely attain my completion by 2024. I am thankful for the
comprehensive course structure of my college, which has provided me with subject choices for
skill and ability enhancements. Further, I have proactively engaged in various academic projects,
group assignments and internal assessments to implement my knowledge and gain practical and
Manager (Trainee) with Said Wellbeing Pvt. Ltd. I was exposed to the nitty-gritty involved in a
small business enterprise. I was tasked to maintain congenial relationships with customers and
cater to prospective clients. My role also involved me to answer queries of loyal clients via formal
mail.
Moreover, I have always been outgoing, which inevitably led to my active participation in
extracurricular activities. In addition, my quest to unleash more of my inner voice was quenched
by practicing and formally learning North Indian Classical Dance- Kathak, Classical Music and
Swimming. Thus, throughout my schooling and current college educational endeavours, I have
communication, time management, critical thinking and problem solving skills specific to the
challenging yet satisfying domain of engaging with human tendencies and human resources. Also,
I owe it to my colourful journey that has given me clarity of mind about what I want to achieve in
life.
Therefore, pursuing a dedicated master’s degree in Human Resource Management and being able
to avail the patronage of the respected legacy of Sheffield Hallam University, UK, is my next
thoughtful step to realign my future professional career pathway as the course is CIPD and AACSB
accredited placing it amongst the top business schools globally. The comprehensive curriculum
enables a wide range of HRM related roles. Most importantly the course involves extra- curricular
activities like workshops enabling practical application of the theories, which will help me attain
a global prospective from an advanced podium like your institute in the UK. I aim to hone my
competencies to meet the multicultural dynamics of the Human Resource sphere. Thus, I sincerely
