The refrigerating system of Haier vaccine refrigerator adopts direct cooling method.
The refrigeration effect is realized by compressor working which is under the control of thermostat.
Specifically, the compressor works and forces the refrigerant to flow through the condenser, dry filter
and evaporator and finally return to the compressor. This is a complete cooling cycle.

The display shows the real-time temperature in the refrigerator. The display is powered by solar
energy, no extra circuits need to be connected. The display only shows the temperature inside the
refrigerator and does not control the refrigeration system of the product.
During the operation, the solar energy receiving area cannot be blocked, otherwise temperature will
not be displayed on the temperature display area.
In the case of weak light, the display will flicker or the display will be unclear. It can be displayed
normally by using a flashlight or other light source for about 3 seconds.

Special considerations for installation and debugging
1. Read the instructions carefully before installing the equipment;
2. The freezer should be placed in a cool, well-ventilated place with no direct sunlight. The ground
should be flat, and the distance between each side of the refrigerator should be greater than 15cm to
ensure good heat dissipation. Keep the floor clean and prevent blockage of the front and rear cabins.
3. HBC-80/HBC-150 has no casters. When moving the product, please use the handles on both sides
of the cabinet to lift the cabinet to avoid forced dragging.
4. After connecting the power cord, you need to install the power cord fixing brack. Refer to the
installation instructions of the power cord bracket and install it according to the step requirements.

English
5.About 7 minutes after power-on, the front compressor operation indicator lamp will start (green). If
the local voltage is unstable, it needs to cooperate with the pressurizer, otherwise the equipment will
be damaged.

Servicing the vaccine refrigerator
(1) Check the whole circuit of vaccine refrigerator for disconnection, damaged wire and short circuit.
(2) Check the insulation of vaccine refrigerator. In normal conditions, the resistance is higher than
2 MΩ;if it is lower than 2MΩ, please make a further check of the refrigerator’s resistance. Set the
voltmeter at R1 Ohm position, insert its two styli respectively into L and N terminals and read the
indicated value. The normal value is from several ohms to scores of ohm. If the resistance is zero,
it means that short circuit occurs in the vaccine refrigerator or short circuit occurs due to poor
performance of the compressor/fan motor. In this case, please investigate the cause and repair. If
the resistance is too high or infinite, it means that open circuit occurs. In this case, please check and
clear the fault.
After the above checks, make sure that the vaccine refrigerator is free of electrical fault and turn it on.

English
Electric leakage of the compressor

(1) Electric leakage of the thermostat

(2) Electric leakage of the fan
(3) Electric leakage of damaged wire
If the electric power cut because of the vaccine refrigerator leakage, try to disconnect the compressor\
controller\fan\power line and so on one by one. Once the power circuit is normal when you disconnect
the one, you can conclude the unit is leaky.

Troubleshooting for refrigerant leak

(1) Touch the cover of the condenser; after continuous running, the temperature in the upper part of
the cover is the highest, and that of the lower part is close to the room temperature. The temperature
is associated with the ambient temperature. The temperature is low in winter; so the temperature of
the condenser is low as well, and only a small part of the condenser is warm. The temperature is high
in summer; so the temperature of the condenser is high as well, and the whole condenser is warm. If
the condenser is not warm, it may be a result from refrigerant leak.
(2) The temperature of the high-pressure exhaust pipe is high; when you touch it with hand in
summer, you may feel hot. It feels hot even in winter. The temperature of the low-pressure intake
pipe is low. Dew drops may appear on the pipe wall in summer, and you may feel cool when touching
it. In winter, you may feel cooler when touching it. If the exhaust pipe is not hot, and the intake pipe is
not cool, then it may be a result of refrigerant leak.
(3) Under normal working conditions, the temperatures around the surface of the evaporator of the
vaccine storage freezer are almost the same, and the frosts are of the same thickness. If there is
no frost on the surface of the evaporator (the whole inner wall of the chest vaccine storage freezer)
or only in a small upper part of the evaporator surface, then the cooling system has failed, such as
insufficient refrigerant or refrigerant leak
(4) Check the pipeline and determine that there is no leak, especially at the joints. The refrigerant
containing a small amount of refrigerant oil is of good permeability. In case of leak, there are oil stains
at the leak point.

19
(5) When the vaccine storage freezer is working normally, the high-pressure liquid refrigerant flows
into the low-pressure evaporator through the capillary, and the sounds of air flow and water flow could
be heard. Open the door of the vaccine storage freezer, approach the evaporator, and you may hear
the sounds as mentioned. If there are no sounds or there are only occasional sounds, it indicates that
there is refrigerant leak or insufficient refrigerant in the system.

Analysis of poor refrigeration effect and solutions

(1) Check the setting value of thermostat. If it is not in the range of 2℃ ~5℃ , adjust it to 3℃ .
(2) Check whether the back and top of vaccine refrigerator are too close to the wall, whether the
vaccine refrigerator is exposed to direct sunlight or close to a heat source, whether the room
temperature is too high and whether the condenser is clogged by a piece of cloth, paper or dirt. Any
of the above problems will affect the condenser’s heat dispersion and further reduce its refrigerating
capacity.
(3) Check whether there are too many vaccines in the vaccine refrigerator. If hot vaccines or too
many vaccines are put in the refrigerator, cold air circulation would be affected. Hot vaccines must not
be put in the refrigerator until they get cool.
(4) Check whether the refrigerator door has been closed well, whether the door sealing strip is too
dirty and whether the door is sealed well. Remove dirt and apply a little talcum powder.
(5) Frequent opening and extended opening of the refrigerator door will reduce the refrigerating
capacity.

How to handle poor sealing of the sealing strip

If poor sealing is caused by too much dirt on the sealing strip, clean the sealing strip with a cloth and
lukewarm water. After cleaning, apply a little talcum powder. If there is still a gap, blow the sealing
strip with an electric dryer to heat it and maintain the temperature between 50 ℃ and 60 ℃ , then
press around the sealing strip by hand to recover it. If this method is useless, wedge a piece of
sponge (about 10 mm in width, 5 mm in thickness and a little longer than the gap) into the position
between the bottom of sealing strip and door mat.

Why the vaccine refrigerator cannot be used at low temperature

When ambient temperature is below 0℃ , the lubricating ability of refrigeration oil in the compressor
will reduce and the compressor will be difficult to start or cannot start or may be damaged.

How to know the compressor motor is at fault

It is easy to find that the motor is at fault by checking the resistance of its coil. Specifically, connect
both styli of ohmmeter respectively to the “common” and “run” terminals to measure the resistance of
coil. If the resistance value is infinite, it means open circuit of coil. If the resistance value is much less
than that of the motor, it means that short circuit occurs in the motor or the winding is burned..
