I am writing to express my intention of applying for a senior high school level teaching position in
your division. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English in May 2019. I
successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers and have served as an English teacher
in a private school for five years. I immediately worked in a private school right after I graduated
college as I was very excited to fulfill one of my dreams which is to be a teacher. I have taught
English to junior high school students and English-related subjects to senior high school students.

My experiences in teaching for the past five years really honed and sharpened my abilities as an
educator. I was able to gain a lot of insights from teaching my students. It is really true when they
say that students are not the only ones learning from teachers because teachers also learn from
their students. It also helped me improve my interpersonal skills and strengthen my relationship
with parents/guardians, and the wider school community. During my five years of teaching, I have
participated in different teacher training programs and workshops which honed my skills and
allowed me to give effective classroom management, dynamic activities, well-constructed
instructional plan, instructional delivery, and evaluations to diverse group of students.

I believe that my education, experience and skills afforded me to become fully competent in
fulfilling the duties of a teacher in the Department of Education. Given the chance to teach will
surely help me in improving my personal and professional competencies. I am willing to devote
my entire time with the profession with utmost sincerity and dedication in order to maintain
quality education.
