Well done, you have reached grade 9! You can now start setting goals for the future. The goals that you could
set include finding the work you want to do; the career you want to follow, deciding on future studies, and so
on. If you are going to reach these goals, you will need to make many important lifestyle choices.

Your lifestyle consists of your behaviour and habits. It reflects what you value, how you see the world around
you and your attitude to life.( Lifestyle choices.) The way you choose to live your life affects you physically and
emotionally.
As a teenager, you will face many choices. The choices you make will affect your future decisions and actions.
There are consequences for all the choices you make. Please take your life seriously at all times and commit
yourself to a positive balanced and healthy lifestyle.

It is also important to MANAGE TIME effectively in a rapidly changing world. The greatest single time
management tool is to set clearly defined goals. This gives focus and direction to planning and facilitates the
establishment of priorities. Time- management itself is a worthwhile goal to strive for. You also need to manage
and control your time so that you can give enough time to important things, and less time to things that aren’t
as important.(Time-management skills.)
