INTEGRATION MASS INTRODUCTION

Dear beloved learners and educators of [name of the school], as we prepare to commence
our Integration Mass, let us take a moment to reflect on the journey we have shared over the
past six (6) years. It has been a time of growth, learning, and spiritual enrichment, guided by the
devoted leadership of our Superintendent, Rev. Fr. Raymond H. Ruga, Ph.D. Since his appointment
in 2018 as the Episcopal Vicar for Catholic Educational Institutions and concurrent
superintendent, Fr. Ruga has led us with unwavering dedication and a deep commitment to our
collective mission. Under his guidance, we have embraced the flagship program “Educare est
Formare" (To educate is to form), embarking on a journey of reform and renewal within our
educational community. Rooted in the principles of the Philippine Catholic Schools Standards
(PCSS), our actions and decisions have been shaped by a steadfast dedication to our Catholic
identity and mission. Through the Education Reform Agenda (ERA), we have fostered excellence
across the domains of leadership, learner development, learning environment, and operational
vitality.
Central to our mission has been the formation of learners into well-integrated Catholics,
a task anchored in the rich tradition of our faith. Within the Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan
Parochial Schools(AVCPC), significant strides were made with the establishment of the Diocesan
Education Office (DEO) Formation team. Led by Fr. Ruga and supported by dedicated individuals
like Fr. John Dave Francis G. Pineda and Mr. Kevin Rey M. Arguelles, this initiative focused on
Human-Spiritual Integration, Vocation Animation, and JEEPGY.
In 2019 the groundbreaking initiatives such as the inaugural Education Summit 2019 and
the Integrated Parochial School System were successfully introduced. Amidst the challenges
posed by the 2020 pandemic, Fr. Ruga's leadership shone brightly as he crafted the TRIPOD
Program which includes: Flexible, Formative, Learning Experience (FFLEX), Stay Home Educational
Enrichment Program (SHEEP) and the Curriculum Output and Values Integration Day (COVID),
ensuring the continuity of education through flexible, formative approaches. As we moved into
2021, the implementation of the MISS framework (Moral, Intellectual, Social, Spiritual) and the
Revised Educators’ Performance Evaluation signaled a commitment to holistic development.
Moreover, the founding of the Mindoro Association of Catholic and Indigenous Schools (MACIS)
marked a historic milestone in educational collaboration.
As we gather here today in the presence of the divine, we stand on the threshold of a new
chapter in our journey, guided by the words from the Gospel according to Matthew, chapter 17,
verses 1 to 8. In this passage, we witness the remarkable event known as the Transfiguration,
where Jesus, accompanied by Peter, James, and John, ascends a high mountain. There, in a
moment of divine revelation, Jesus is transfigured before them, his very essence illuminated with
divine glory. His face shines like the sun, and his garments become radiant with light. Let us reflect
on the significance of this sacred encounter and open our hearts to the transformative power of
God's presence among us as we celebrate the integration mass with our dear Superintendent,
Rev. Fr. Raymond H. Ruga, PhD.
