The given graph illustrates how the volume of guests to four different museums worldwide varied from
1980 to 2015.
Overall, there were different trends in the visitor data of these four museums, with an increase seen in the
ones of the Louvre and the Vatican Museums. It is also evident that the Louvre constantly welcomed the
highest number of guests while the most significant increase was recorded in the figure for the Vatican
Museums.
In 1980, there were almost 8 million visitors to Louvre, significantly exceeding the number of guests to
Vatican Museums by more than 3 million. During the next thirty-five years, while the latter maintained a
steady rising trend, reaching more than 9 million, the former gradually climbed to the same point, with a
few variations in between.
Meanwhile, the volumes of visitors to London Science Museum and Shenzhen Museum did not show a
significant difference, both of which started at around 4 million in 1980. The London Science Museum,
however, observed a declining pattern in its data down to 2 million, whereas the one of Shenzhen Museum
recovered back to the inital point after a slight fall for the first twenty years.
