EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 2018-009

AN ORDER DESIGNATING THE CHIEF TANOD OF BARANGAY ZONE 4-A, PULUPANDAN,

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL

WHEREAS, Section 387 (b) of the Local Government Code provides that the Sangguniang
Barangay may form community brigades and create such other positions or offices as may be
deemed necessary to early out the purposes of the Barangay Government in accordance with the
needs of public service, subject to the budgetary limitations and personal services prescribed
thereto.

WHEREAS, Section 391 of the Local Government Code also provides for the organization of
community brigade, barangay tanod, or community service unit as may be necessary.

WHEREAS, DILG Memorandum Circular 2003-42 dated March 10, 2003 provides that the
Punong Barangay shall designate a Chief Tanod / Executive Officer to lead the group.

NOW THEREFORE, I, JEOFFREY P. YUNQUE, Punong Barangay of Barangay ZONE 4-A_,

Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, by virtue of the powers vested upon me by law, do hereby
designate LEONCIO O. VECINAL as Chief Tanod of Barangay Zone 4-A.

Section 1. Functions. The Chief Tanod shall:

a. Lead the Barangay Tanod Brigade in performing their duties and functions, to
maintain peace and order, and ensure public safety in the barangay, under the
supervision of the Punong Barangay;
b. Represent the Barangay Tanod Brigade in the Barangay Tanod Municipal Federation;
c. Perform such other duties and functions as may be directed by the Punong Barangay.

Section 2. Effectivity

This Order shall take effect immediately.

Done this 18th day of June ,2018 at Barangay Zone 4-A, Pulupandan, Negros
Occidenta, Philippines.
