About Myself:
My name is Ranbir Singh and my DOB is 27 th June 1994. I had the best education and the best support system at
home. I am what I am today because they have inculcated strong values and a sense of responsibility and integrity in
me. Today, I am strong enough to my choices and to follow my dreams because I have the support of my parents.

My Passion and Academic Background:

I think the world of Computing and IT always took precedence over other choices. The world of Computing is a fast
paced one where changes are taking place even as I write this Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE). I started learning
more about computers when I was in 8 th standard. This always fascinated I to see how much one could learn from
technology and how much knowledge is stored within it. I wanted to do more to contribute to this incredible world
and, therefore, I decided to study animation and multimedia technology as my specialized area of study.

Academic
2010 - 2011: Year 12th (Humanities) from PSEB with 68.4%
2011- 2014: Bachelor of Animation and Multimedia Technology from Punjab Technical University with 60%
My 1st job clicked in June 2014 at Maxtel Infosystems Pvt. Ltd. as UI/UX Developer and worked till 2015. In July
2015 I worked at Prihit Technologies Pvt. Ltd. As a Rotoscopy Artist and worked till November 2015. In January
2016 I got opportunity to work at Ooops Info Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as a Graphics Designer.
My father is the most wonderful person and he knows that I have my own aspirations to achieve. He always
motivated me and with his ideas and suggestions to pursue for Master’s Degree, which will shape me and
make me qualifies fit for modern globalized cultures, technology and era.

REASONS FOR CHOOSING TO STUDY IN AUSTRALIA

I sent emails to my seniors, phoned the friends I could, personally met those who were available, visited different
seminars conducted by various colleges and universities, Walk to many consultancies as much I can for genuine and
fair counseling and always has something exciting to change my opinion. After all, quality of education is the only
factor that entices international students. Nevertheless, after a lot of research I ended up choosing Australia. The
decision is no way reduces my respect for education excellence countries like US and UK have attained, but Australia is
quite alluring, not just for its sandy beaches and exotic wilderness but also without surprising, it is one of the world
most popular study destination. Based on the data available on the internet side
like: www.studyinaustralia.gov.au, www.boarder.gov.au there are many renowned college and universities providing
various courses and degree in Australia. Australia higher education is ranked fourth in the QS higher education system
strength ranking 2016.

As Vibrant it is, Australia offers a fresh and different perspective in the education sector mainly because it’s dynamic
and diverse. Australian Government takes special interest in regulating the duration sector where the universities and
colleges are top 100 in world ranking where 35 out of 100 universities belong to Australia. That is more than enough
for me to select Australia as my destination for study. Even not ranked university never compromise on the quality of
education. We can gain international work experience after graduation. Australia is one of the best for international
students having Tuition Protection Service (TPS) which is designed to protect the rights of international students
with protection of their tuition fees. Moreover, Institution tends to promote practical learning. There are various reason
to choose Australia which I have mention however, Students seemingly have a lot more personal space to improvise
and carry out their own projects that might turn out to be something big. Moreover, I would have a global recognized
degree after the completion of my course and it would be easy for me to get god jobs from the experience during
post study work after my bachelor degree. I am impressed with this system which helps me to get experience in IT
field which will be much more helpful when I return to my nation.

Many universities in Australia follow a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) technique to teach technology related
courses which will enable students to strengthen their base and hone their skills. Many universities and colleges have
internships and industry partnerships which are a part of the curriculum. Australian Universities offering MBA & MPA
courses maintain strong educational and research links with the giants of technology world to ensure that course
remains relevant to the changing world. Organizations like IBM, Telstra, and Microsoft etc. have collaborations
with Australian universities and help in keeping the course abreast with all the latest developments.

However, having other option in front of me I choose Australia. I was having different countries like USA, UK, Japan
and Canada. I didn’t go for USA as there is less social security and Government is changing rules for international
students time and again. Also, I had to attend extra classes for taking exams like SAT, ACT to be accepted in the
university or college in there. Again, I didn’t choose UK because of the high cost of living and also the policies of the
international students studying there changes frequently. So, it was also the matter of risk. The living cost of UK is also
comparatively higher than that of Australia. I didn’t opt to study in Japan as there is always a barrier for language as I
have studied my whole career in English and qualification is not recognized worldwide.

Why did I choose Holmes Institute?

The Holmes Institute, established in Melbourne in 1963. It is located in various locations in Australia – Sydney,
Brisbane, Melbourne, Gold Coast. Previously called Holmes College. This multi-sector private institution offers
vocational education, higher education, secondary education and helps students explore more similar academic areas.

academics. This ultimately assists in producing skilled manpower; this is what national and international institutions
needed for. The comprehensive knowledge delivery followed by institution placements, career hub, group

factors that has attracted me the most. I am confident that, a dream I have dreamed is going to be true when I
become a part of the education providers like Holmes College.

Why did I choose to study Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accounting program?
An MBA is one of the most widely respected in the world today, and its not just for business background students.
Anybody can benefit from gaining an MBA, me as a graphic designer can work more efficiently on a projects. As an
MBA give me the ability to better understand and make decisions. Generally, when projects come for design work, all
of the business decisions have been made regarding the project and execute it. After completing this course I would
be an “MBA graduate with a design background”. This will open up my window of opportunity and give me the
freedom that I need to go for career that may not be strictly about designing, but my design skills will give me an
advantage.

Holmes Institute offers this program with an insightful aim which is described in the following words by one of the
students: “Most students just myopically choose a random program without seriously considering the competition
they might have to face, upon completion of the course, in the real world. The MBA & MPA program at Holmes offers
a very cost effective way of obtain two Masters degrees in a two year period but also enhance my earning capability
when return to my home country. There is no doubt that with such a widely accepted dual master’s degree, I can earn
much higher than what I could earn with a more general qualification which does not promise a high degree of
expertise.

Career Opportunities:
After completing my Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accounting, I will return to India to
my parents, who have been my strength and my source of inspiration, I have been brought up in a big joint family and
as such I find it difficult to live alone without my parents and family for long.

My Long Term career goal: Run my own business of design and marketing company – MBA + MPA with a design
background; An MBA + Master of Professional Accounting program teach me about bookkeeping, contracts, HR laws
and practices (for when I start hiring people or subcontracting), negotiation tactics, and a whole host of other things I
can pull from when running my own business. I’ll also understand my own balance sheets – even if I’ve hired an
accountant to produce them but before that I need to get considerable work experience of 9-10 years in industry.

FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP
My parents will gone a bear all the tuition fees, living expenses and the other general expenses during my stay at
Australia and I am aware of the tuition and living costs of my stay in Australia and have the financial capacity to meet
such costs for the duration of my program. My father (Mr. Tarsem Singh), my brother eldest (Mr. Ranjit Singh) have
their own businesses and my second brother (Mr. Jagdeep Singh) have property Consultant business they all earn very
good income every year so as per the audit report total income is INR. 14,43,700/-Lakhs and Besides these, my father
have funds of INR.
I will make timely payments of any fees or associated costs. Thus, my family annual income be sufficient for my
education and quality stay in Australia. So the financial scenario of my sponsors reflects that I will have no financial
problem for my study. They always play the role of bridge between me and my study. They are always ready to invest
on my education because they want to see me as a successful educated person and work as senior
executive/managerial professional roles in future.

VISA OBLIGATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

I will be much thankful to the representative of the Australian High Commission if I am given the opportunity to study
in Australia and pursue my dream. At the same time, I assure you that I will strictly follow the rules and regulations of
my education provider and the Australian government’s law as I am also aware of the obligations of student under
higher education visa system SSVF (Simplified Student Visa Framework).

I have clearly understood visa conditions regarding my study in Australia.

Some of them are;
1. I cannot change the university for six months up on enrolment.
2. I must notify to university if I change the address / contact details within 7 working days.
3. I must have valid health insurance during my stay in Australia.
4. I cannot work more than 40 hours per fortnight.
5. I need to maintain 80% of attendance.
6. I need to clear 50% in every subject in each term.
