Work Experience:
My 1st job clicked in June 2014 at Maxtel Infosystems Pvt. Ltd. as UI/UX Developer and worked till 2015. In July
2015 I worked at Prihit Technologies Pvt. Ltd. As a Rotoscopy Artist and worked until November 2015. In January
2016 I got opportunity to work at Ooops Info Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as a Graphics Designer. I worked in this company
until April 2019.
Thought the decision eventually ended up in me gaining nothing new until date, re-joined my pervious
company at same Graphic Designer designation from 15 February 2021, and presently working here only until
now. I knew that the effort of the day would eventually pay up in future. Working hard, I kept my focus on my
goals and this time I did intense research on courses, consult few education consultants also, and quickly apply
for Master of Information Technology (Advanced) program at Torrens University. I received offer letter from
Torrens University on 16th July 2022 and submitted my documents for GTE in August 2022.
Why I did not choose to study Master of Information Technology (Advanced) in India?
Indian Universities: Craving the thirst to keep increasing my skills and knowledge about the Computer Technology
and the IT world I decided to go for a postgraduate degree in the field. I decided to take the postgraduate course of
Information Technology with the latest trend of the world and I was fascinated with the possibilities of the course. I
want to study in University environment where student get more opportunities, exposure regarding their field and on
campus guest lectures visits from big industries. I started searching Indian universities and came across some of the
most reputed universities like VELS University in Chennai, Barkatullah University in Bhopal. These universities were
providing a course in Information Technology but as a major of Master of Science. Searching about some more
Universities I found the Chandigarh University was providing the course of Master of Information Technology for 2
years at the semester fee of 39,500 INR.
Course Structure of IT programs have fixed curriculum, whereas in Torrens University, Australia offering
ultimate flexibility in its course structure, which allows student to design their own course as per their interest.
Unfortunately, in Indian institute such flexibility cannot see in its course structure. When I checked the entry
requirements, I encountered an issue that I have been introduced to it before too. The seats in the university are
reserved and limited. The reservation based on Caste, Religion, Region and other sorts of minorities in Indian Society
makes it very challenging the students to overcome the chains of un-fulfillment. As I kept searching about the
universities in India, I found many shortcomings in the education system of the universities that I wasn’t able to accept
for my career. Indian education system has become out-dated, its methods of serving education recognized only at
national level. Moreover, it imparts only bookish thesis. Academics framework been emphasized more on bookish
knowledge and this same I faced at the time of my Bachelor of Science Degree apart from that six months
industrial training session. There is limited course availability and there are no research opportunities available. When I
was facing these disadvantages and was having difficulties to find the right direction then I that an international
degree from a foreign university will fulfil my ambition. The option of International degree was perfect as I could easily
overcome the deficiency of Indian University’s education system and give myself a global recognition. I started looking
into the requirements of the International courses and discovered that I needed to go through the English test first. I
started preparing myself for the test and after completing this requirement the next big question in front of me was
the choice of country and university that I was about to affiliate to.
Global Research:
Information systems combine hardware, software and telecommunications networks, that people build and
use to collect, create and distribute useful data. Similarly, I was looking for an education program that combines
theoretical knowledge, conceptual learning, practicum and network of partners, in order to become a professional.
I began by searching for Master of Information Technology (Advanced) courses in Finland. There were many
institutes in Finland offering Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information System such as University of Jyvaskyla
Faculty of Information Technology, LUT School of Information Technology Science, Tampere University,
Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science, University of Oulu, EIT Digital Master School, Abo Akademi
University, Metropolia University of Applied Science, among many others. Finland is acclaimed for Qualitative
Education System, which is uniform whether you are an elite or a commoner, the quality of education is brilliant with
professional teaching staff. Finland has low pollution, less corruption and beautiful landscape. However, my research
showed that in Finland, everything is sold at a higher cost, from food, clothing, housing and transport. Although most
people speak English in Finland, sometimes language can be a barrier, now the winters is very cold and temperatures
can drop below 30 degree centigrade with longer nights as the sunrises very close to early afternoon. In view of higher
cost, language constraints and long cold winter nights, I decided not to study in Finland.
After doing a lot of research on different countries like; Germany, The United Kingdom’s and my home country
India and making a comparison with Australia. I found countries like; Germany require a German equivalent of a
bachelor’s degree for doing a postgraduate degree in Germany, Apart from this basic requirement, the German
universities require students to score high points in GMAT or GRE. Adding to this, IELTS or TOEFL along with a working
knowledge of their native language.
Moreover, countries like UK provide one year of postgraduate degree in the universities like Bath Spa University
offering M.SC. Cyber Security for January Intake for 1year duration and tuition fees is 14,700 GBP. Cardiff Metropolitan
University, University of Cambridge and King’s College London but I couldn’t locate the course. During my research, I
noticed that UK’s universities are more focus on business course for postgraduate program. University of Manchester,
University of Glasgow, Anglia Ruskin University offering either M.Sc. Computer Science or M.Sc. Cyber Security etc.
Initially I thought it would save me plethora of time but by further examination, I got to know that whether it is a one-
year degree but the combinations of subjects were not of my interest.
Living Arrangements:
I am planning to stay in student accommodation buildings which are furnished and many facilities will be there
to stay. Accommodation is of different types and their price is also different. We need to live with the weekly expenses
calculation. A student accommodation starts from $140 and varied up to $220 per week. Before going to
University I will be booking one of these accommodations which will come within my budget. I will be doing more
research on living arrangement beside these.

What is the current industry demand of skills and expertise for the chosen course?
An employer usually looking for strong people management, creative thinking, and task management skills, as I am
taking my career towards IT field and world of Technology is growing rapidly. In this new era of Digital transformation,

Would there be any difference in holding an Australian qualification compared to those holding the same
degree but obtained from the home country?
I firmly believe that India is a progressive country, and the IT industry is booming globally, assuring that my
international work experience and master’s degree will land me my dream job as an Analyst. IT Industry absorbs a
large pool of Indian skilled human resources, which will make the country a global IT hub. There is a vast market
for the young workforce who understand the technology and have the management skills to shape innovative
solutions to help people and benefit organizations. The whole Indian economic and governance landscape will be
transformed by the ongoing fourth industrial revolution globally. With the Torrens University name added to
my profile, I will be highly evaluated as an employee, and I will be two years ahead of my income timeline
compared to if I had pursued my master's program in India. There will be a higher return on investment in my
studies. Below is the link forecasting the demand for qualified IT professionals in India. The article mainly speaks
about how India is the center of global attraction and why it is said as the powerhouse of knowledge. It is forecasted
that the digital economy would reach 1 trillion by 2025. Hence, I am very confident that after my master’s from
Australia return I will be having great opportunities in India.
