concentrate on the biomarker p-tau217, which measures the
concentrations of tau and amyloid, two proteins linked to Alzheimer's disease in the brain. To
find out if measuring p-tau217 in the blood can improve the detection rate of Alzheimer's
disease in individuals with moderate, progressive memory impairments and early dementia, the
researchers will carry out a clinical trial.
